The latest in a long line of tweeners recruited by past regimes that didn't work out. The list of tweener busts we've signed here in recent years is a mile long between DE's turned off-ball LB's and "strikers" who've been too slow to play safety and too small to be a plus contributor at LB.

Patrick Joyner, Sam Brooks, Terry McCray, Mike Smith, Thomas Davis

Keshawn Washington, Jalen Harrell, Cedrick Wright, etc.

Hopefully this regime prioritizes more rangy ballhawk FS types in the mold of Kinchens and stacks more LB classes like the one they brought in with Bryant/Washington/Aguirre. We're off to a great start at LB in that regard. FS remains a gigantic concern for when Kinchens heads to the NFL because that has simply not been addressed at all in last year's class or via the portal.
