Thomas Brown to join staff

Coached Melvin Gordon Nick Chubb and Sony Michel

LOLOLOL so one year he coached a RB on a team that has top rushers every year, and then coached an injured guy for one year? Color me impressed.

I prefer guys who didn't coach RB's for a school that produces top rushers and guys who didn't coach other players into getting injured.

I prefer a HC who doesn't hire based on nepotism. We've had enough inexperienced coaches here for the last 15 years.

"I am told he is getting a Co-Coordinator title and a salary around or above 600K with a 3 year deal at Miami with CMR
That is a MONSTER deal for Brown.
Great Coach, Great person
There will be a lot of people in line to coach RB's at UGA can bet that.."

600K for a glorified recruiter is a huge waste of money. Instead of worrying about getting his ex players paid, he should have spent that cash on Don Brown.

If they have money to blow, who gives a ****?

BC they could have outbid Michigan for a truly elite DC that would have us dominating quickly. Instead, the focus is on overpaying old friends.

If you want to pull guys from power 5 jobs who are sought after then your going to have to over pay them. I'm guessing UGA wanted to keep him and were willing to pay him fairly well so Miami has to step up and over pay.

I don't think there is a chance in **** at Miami ever out bidding Michigan in anything. Just be happy we are finally stepping up to the plate and paying legit power 5 salaries but we will never compete with some of these programs in a bidding war.

Oh great. Now Richt sucks because he didn't hire a guy that nobody had heard of until 2 months ago.

Hey if you want to blindly support a guy who is filling our staff with a bunch of former Bulldog players, thats on you.

I explicitly stated that I want an elite experienced staff here. Not a welfare program for the recently graduated UGA player.....

But you all were okay with bringing back former Miami players? Smh.
.

Who says we were even in the running for Don brown? You act like richt passed on him but it's more likely that he has been talking to Harbaugh ever since durkin left. Maybe he did call durkin. You have no idea

Do you ever read the board? I was fully against bringing in former UM players.

I'm fully against bringing in any young inexperienced coaches. I'm fully against giving handouts to friends and guys who played for you. Enough already.

No. Neither does anyone who actually knows what that word means.

"I blindly support the fired UGA coach who could never win a big game. I blindly support anybody he hires, even though a month ago I was adamant that we need more experienced teachers on the staff. I blindly support every decision the new coach makes bc he is new and thus infallible."

-the UM fan mantra

"Mark Richt sucks because he's going to hire assistant coaches he is familiar with and did not hire a 60 year old guy I had never heard of until two months ago. I have to change my coach-worshipping screen name now."

LOLOL clearly you don't. "the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs."

I'm watching people complain brown and hartley are "green" and "inexperienced" Brown has coached for 4 years at big programs. same people want to hire Ice, Beard, Rumph, Reeed, etc all guys who have less or no experience. smh

What has Mark Richt won in his career to justify bringing in all his former players from a job he was ****-canned at?

The word "nepotism" refers to family. It's OK to admit you didn't know what it meant.
