Thomas Brown quote today

He might not be an OC but dude is a dam good RB coach...the drills, the techniques, teaching how to read blocks and knowing when to hit it and when to be lil patient, the attention to details, the drive and push to compete and get better daily. Studying film and understanding what you are seeing from various defensive looks. Brown shouldn't be an OC but those young backs will confirm that Brown puts in the work on Greentree

Co Oc is just a title because UM doesn't pay well and they find a way to pay him more money. Searles, John Richt, and Mark calling plays is your problem. Hartley trying to do two jobs because UM is cheap is another problem.

Good coach imo, I don’t like when people sugar coat sh*t so I’ll always respect that over people who try to put up false pretenses about situations
Not sugarcoating would have been to admit they/he have failed at recruiting this year. All this “well if you don’t want to be here we don’t want you “ is the opposite of keeping it real

Bro between a 5 game losing streak someone is going to make a play. The best teams are player led. When I played if you loafed in practice I would knock you in the mouth. Make a dumb penalty I'm in your face. We have seniors on the oline with penalty killing drives with a redshirt freshman QB
Agreed 1000%
St. Louis had two last game
Gauthier had one last game
Cray

Agree with this, next spring no rb should be guaranteed an order. I think Davis ceiling is higher than either of homer or Dallas ultimately
Truth be told, I'm a HUGE Homer fan. Been chirping about his ability since he was a frosh, but he's been quite pedestrian this season. I'd have no problem with Cam getting some of his carries, too. **** shame Lingard is hurt.

I cringe when I read about missing Richards when he was only available for like a game in the last two years. Miami didn’t win last year because of Richards; he wasn’t there. Berrios and Herndon were HUGE but do you not remember who was throwing the ball?

Penalties, dropped passes, missed tackles, missed assignments, fumbles are often a byproduct of the coaching. Did you ever notice how well-coached teams don’t make these lapses as much?
I’m just talking about his leadership more so than impact of what he can do on the field(although that hurts as well). We have terrible leadership on offense right now. It’s a problem when the qb is not a leader, what good team has there ever been without a dominant leader at qb?

Bro I mean that line is Bad Bad. remember against UVA Kosi threw a dart and it was called back as holding. That was embaressing for an Oline coach. Ppl think Searles is good because he screams. Screaming is not good coaching. Teaching technique and having them ready, motivated and disciplined is good coaching.

I dont Think homer is all the way healthy this year but he’s been solid but not having the year I expected. Imo he’s been better than deejay overall who should have some of his carries dialed back in favor of Camron Davis

he blames the players and doesnt take responsibility. If he kept it real, he would say "our scheme is garbage, we havent developed **** on offense and we consistently get out coached. And no mater how much kids love their hometown team, they wont stay if the system wont allow them to succeed."

My response to “we only want players who want to be at UM” is why the **** didn’t you offer Wright from day one ? Hypocrite
Their only taking 2 rbs a cycle. So if they already identified Crowley and a silent and got them, they would have dropped Wright b4 nsd. Im not defending him but do your homework...that's another reason they wanted Richards as a safety originally giving you possibility of 3 solid backs and a potential AA safety

Brown is always good for a pseudo-profound soundbite. You know what top recruits love about a program? Winning, being the best, NC's, getting developed and getting drafted high to the league. And Miami ain't any of this right now. That's why they don't want to come here.

Edit: he didn’t say this pertaining to recruiting but just in general when responding to adversity

Don’t care what anyone say, Brown ain’t going to sugar coat sh*t, and will tell it like it is.

I wonder if Alabama only wants guys who love Alabama or are they living in the real world and want guys who will beat the man across from them. Call me Stevie, because I wonder.

Valid, but leaders have to make plays. I promise you that if Miami was undefeated right now with Jeff Thomas nearing 1000 yards receiving and one of the backs over 1000 yards rushing that you wouldn’t say that. This a chicken or the egg argument , don’t let the coaches off the hook.

And for what it’s worth, I didn’t have a problem with Brown’s Statements today. It was what it was but when you’re on a 4-game losing streak you don’t get the benefit of the doubt anymore.
I’m definitely not letting the coaches off the hook on this season. I’ve voiced my concerns on their part in this disastrous season over and over.
