Here is when it pays to be a bit late and the lack of unlimited space actually helps:

Having a 40 yard side field for lineman drills is both unique and the best use of space. Most teams would gladly give up 20 yards of a full field to have a better functioning setup for how most teams actually run practice.

Despite happening in different phases, this will be fully integrated and connected (locker room, player lounge, weight room into the IPF and the IPF into the outdoor fields.

The additional 20,000 for coaches offices, team rooms, recruiting rooms will not only be top notch, but free up the space currently used for those rooms for enhanced facilities and space. Plus, the extension of the weight room which feeds into the 40 yard side field will be super cool and increase both the function of the weight room and wow factor.

Like everything else we do, it may not be the biggest, but will be very impressive, especially for a small private school with limited land.

Office space is very key. Right now there are areas of marketing I know for sure and I think communications etc. sharing offices because of the amount of support staff Richt has brought in. This will benefit the athletic department as a whole. Really awesome

Media will still talk **** about our facilities

"When you look at the IPF at a place like Miami which doesn't even have a helipad or cruise ship dock, and the toilets are only 18k gold, it's obvious they just don't get it. Until they want to get serious and have field turf made out of shredded Picasso paintings, they're never going to be on the level of a Vanderbilt or South Carolina." - Paul Finebaum sometime in the near future.

Finebaum showed how much of a hater he is Wednesday man. This dude said USC is not a coveted job. I was like, now he really trolling. Even Pollack was like, wtf are you talking about? Smh.

Richt coming in will give them a reason to report that Miami has upgraded the facilities. They obviously could not have done it on their own, without the help of an SEC-style coach. Doesn't matter. Soon, they won't be saying anything except how much better they are. That will be the message.

Taking a shot for Dabo tomorrow night

LOL. Dabo didn't save shīt. Corch was going to be history anyway. Probably got him out of here sooner, though, and maybe resulted in a couple of extra wins.

Here's why: the fat fūck would have been fired at the end of the season anyway - if he even would have lasted that long. But, and this is a big but, if Gorlden would not have been fired after Clemson game, we definitely lose to Duke, and I can see maybe one or two additional losses for the remainder of the year.

Thank Dabo for eight wins

You have more faith in Blake James and the BoT than most then to be willing to gamble that if Clemson wasn't as egregious a loss and that Alfredo wins 7 games that they wouldn't have at best kept him on through the bowl game and at worst have found some other reason to keep him another year. Both situations obviously throw off the Richt hiring timing.

You weren't paying attention, then. He was done. Would have happened before the bowl game. Did you think we were going to win out after Clemson even if we lost respectably? Fat Al had at least four more losses in him. It was just a matter of when. 58-0 accelerated the time line.

Again, I don't share the certainty that you do that he was done. The ****roach wouldn't have won out but it wouldn't have taken much to win one less game than Larry "Vince Lombardi" Scott and then have an overly conservative Blake James think that a bowl win gets us to 8 wins and that would be respectable enough to keep him while stressing continuity with Kaaya, etc. Again, maybe not a big chance that it'd have gone down like that but not a completely implausible one either- and that's not a risk I'd even be comfortable with in hindsight.

It's moot though. The Dabo narrative is based more in fun than anything else. At the least he gets credit for giving us new hope a couple of months early.
