Worst offense production by a Canes team since the 1960s.
Let that sink in and marinate.
High school coach Pat Nix never had a game close to as bad as this.
Even the OC, when they had Kirby Freeman as QB, who made one completion in a game and threw 3 pics, mustard a more potent offense than Gattis tonight.
If Mario is even considering bringing Gattis’s back, he’s already failed. You should fire him tonight.

UM lately just finds a way to break some 10+ year stat in a bad way. Few years from now you’ll here some team put up 5 yards in a half. Then pull up the stats and say that hasn’t happened since 2022 when Miami played Clemson. We are the Aflac question of the game team of the decade

Watching this offense in person made it 10X worse. The defense wasn’t much better, but the offensive play calling gave us 0 chance to win that game. Gattis needs to go tomorrow.

If we had even a remotely functional offense I think we win the game. It amazing just how difficult it is for them to do anything. I can't remember an offense this dysfunctional.

Teams hire coordinators without firing the entire staff on that side of the ball all the time. That said, I’d retain Mirabal, Field, and Smith.
The OL has been too beat up and injured to be overly critical of Mirabal. And the OL room was average at best. He’s also key In the recruitment of Francis, Samson, and the other OL in this class. I don’t see an issue with Field or Smith. The TEs haven’t done poorly, and Smith lost RB1 and RB2 in camp.
The issues on offense start and end with Gattis. Hire a new OC/QB coach and bring along his WR coach or someone the OC can work with. Ponce is out of luck unless he will take an off-field position.
