People are nice in Ohio when it comes to other peoples favorite team. They’ll be like “They’ll be better next week.” Or “Don’t both him, he is upset bc his team lost”. If they only knew they never get better the next week and I’ll still be upset next week as well.

I’ll be honest here , if your OC search goes like “ alright heres the deal, I have my own OL coach , co OC / wr coach and likely bringing my rb coach from Oregon but you can call the plays ….deal”? That’s a real problem when hiring a guy to run the entire offense. What OC worth his salt would so that without any of his guys ? That’s how you end up with a scorned OC that’s leaving his previous school beciase he’s because he’s butthurt.

The new OC will get his chance to bring in his own WRC/QBC. Typically, coordinators bring in one of their guys. On occasion, it’s 2, but generally it’s one guy. I don’t think having an OLC and a RBC in place would dissuade many. But, if the new OC insisted on his own RBC, then I can see smith being let go…possibly.
