This University must make 1 of 2 Decisions

Believe me, I know it’s unrealistic to happen.. but I would much rather us be independent at this point.

ultimately, we can’t have 2 struggles - at HC and dealing with these refs.
We can't afford to go independent.

The SEC & B1G aren't interested.

There is no conference where we will get "fair" treatment from refs.

The narrative that the refs have screwed us is just an excuse that people cling to in order to absolve our own mistakes.

We haven't lost any games this year because of the refs.

Some of you guys complain about Mario way too much. The absolute worst part of our fan base and it’s been this way for over 20 years is that we still have expectations like it’s 2001. This isn’t anything new. Even with Mark Richt, Manny Diaz, and Al Golden, our fans still expected 2001-level Miami Hurricanes performance.

****, we could be coming off a 5–7 season and our fan base will still do their preseason predictions like this:

Game 1: W (1–0)
Game 2: W (2–0)
Game 3: W (3–0)
Game 4: W (4–0)
Game 5: W (5–0)
Game 6: W (6–0)
Game 7: W (7–0)
Game 8: W (8–0)
Game 9: W (9–0)
Game 10: W (10–0)
Game 11: Toss-up
Game 12: W (11–1 / 12–0)

Best-case scenario: 12–0
Likely scenario: 11–1
Doomsday scenario: 10–2
Fly the Banners: 9-3

Meanwhile we have had like 3 9+ win seasons in 20 years

Plus the fact I doubt there’s a network out there that’s going to give us a 100+ million dollar multi-year contract either so where’s the money coming from?

Miami can’t afford to go independent in today’s football world even if they wanted to.

Either leave now and join a new conference or go independent.

This sorry micky mouse operation of a conference, can not and must not be taken seriously with refs who look like they are on the job training. This **** is unbearable to watch.

We can’t have a sorry game day softy head coach and refs that continue to clearly show the inability to make correct calls. Since we ain’t getting rid of him.. we gotta leave or, get use to Pop Tart bowls every ******* year
A. We can’t do either right now.
B. We can’t afford to go it independent.
C. No one worth a **** would ever play us which is how we would lose money,
which leads to my next point.
D. We can’t do either!

Not to take anything away from how bad the refs were today, the SEC refs are just as bad. It’s a problem across college football.
They are consistently bad to benefit their brands. I watched a play today with Arkanasas against Texas ruled a catch, replay was ten times better than our view today and showed the ball clearly being cradled IMO and maybe it could have hit the ground but zero real evidence. Overturned icomplete 2nd and 10 Arkansas. Never in a million years would that call be made to benefit Miami.

I'd settle for Mario going on an epic Dabo style rant using the term "cheating" over and over and have the UM athletic dept host hours of video showing the fact of consistent cheating every year against Miami. Because I don't believe for a minute that these refs "look like they are on the job training." They look like they are purposefully carrying out a mission.
Bingo--it's blatant cheating, week in and out, over a period of 20+ years.

What a Joke.

We are not leaving anytime soon. Anytime soon period

The ACC will become a very solid conference with the developing things...

VT.

Miami doing Miami.
FSU will get their ish back together.
Clemson will man back up.
Such a bad take.

This is a terrible take. We have actually lost two toss ups this years because of key calls/no-calls/botched reviews; many others games have ended up having way closer margins because of disproportionatel corrupt and/or biased officiating (UF, FSU, Syracuse, VT). This has happened for years: last year vs VT, GT, and Syracuse also come to mind as games where the refs influenced the outcome

They also should consider getting more aggressive with scheduling out of conference games. We should try to schedule 2 big out of conference games from the Big 10, SEC/ND every year. The committee doesn’t respect the ACC. The other scenario is hoping Clemson, FSU, or someone else emerges as playoff contender that we can play and beat intra year.

It’s awesome tho how the ACC lets us watch as the replay officials make their decisions… so much transparency
