This Should Be Our Next Coach

This guy is having a nice season.

But this is a joke, right? Did you watch last season as his defense leaving UFag receivers uncovered presnap without calling a TO, not once but twice? LMAO.

He is okay but definitely not worth the 6 mill per season and whatever it would take to buy him out.

At least his team is improving this year. If KY wins today, they play GA for SEC east championship. Unlike Miami, REGRESSING this year.

Briles putting on a clinic right now on ABC for the doubters or those just wanting to witness greatness.

Briles is starting a QB that played WR as a FR. Just absolutely crushing defenses.

It will be too late though. AD, BOT aren't firing boring *** Richt. Miami was once built on innovation, now hires nice guys who are either unqualified or underachieving retreads.

LOLOL

jesus christ we get what we deserve with these idiotic suggestions.

Unless you are waiting for someone who hasn't been born yet, the list of "realistic" coaches is what it is. Dream candidate is Peterson from UW. He makes the same salary as Rick (4 mil). If Miami throws 5.5 mil, see what happens.

Next is a big drop off but as I've pointed out in another thread, the common denominator of successful coaches at Miami is they were innovators and did things that hadn't been seen in big time college football. Who fits that bill? Leach, Briles.

Then there are ace coordinators. Venables, Dave Aranda Maybe they are innovators too, I don't know about their defense schemes. On offense, maybe Yost.

Then stud recruiters: Cristobal

We've tried the safe play four times in a row now. None were innovators on their side of the ball. Richt's heyday was 20 years ago. The game has clearly passed him by. We need a young, innovative, energetic coach like young Briles to turn this program around.

Added bonus points for riding shotgun on the Briles rape train.

The three HCs that won the first four championships at Miami were an NFL OC, a HC with a .500 record at Oklahoma State, and a HC will three seasons in the PAC10/Washington State. The similarities are all three were innovators at that time.

Hire Briles the day after the Pittsburgh game.

Any reason why we wouldn't bring their head coach, the one who is winning?

I love the thought/gamble of Briles at OC/QB coach because Richt isn’t getting canned next year. Plus Briles needs to OC at a high profile school I think before any schools takes a chance on him.

Applewhite? You could make that argument. Sure.

It just seems Briles is the reason FAU exceeded expectations last season, and the reason Houston’s offense is exploding this season.

Clueless clueless clueless post.

Howard had been an NFL HC, and was the OC for the only undefeated NFL champ ever.

HE built the program from where we are now to being champs.

That is the level coach it requires to resurrect a dead program.

JJ and Dennis didnt have to take a loser program over. They took over championship squads. Completely different scenarios.

I get that, but Applewhite is an offensive guy himself. There's zero percent chance that he just handed it over to Briles. Plus Applewhite now has experience in running an entire program. Is this the place for Briles to learn on the job?
