Completed wasted year when they retained the staff after last season. Sad that they knew it and rolled the bones anyway...

Remember a couple years ago when Hurlie was talking about 9 wins as some sort of high water mark? He said some ghey **** about 9 wins being a great goal for UM.

These ice cream peddling skunks all got the coaching AIDS. Be gone!

THis is the kind of moronic decisions this BOT makes. I not looking forward to them ####ing up this coaching hire.
 
To be fair, what else is he suppose to say? I don't think he actually believes that but it gives the kids something to play for (bowl game). Scott isn't the problem at Miami. Let's put our focus on those who have the power to fix this horrific nightmare, which are BOT, Blake James and the President.
 
Butch Davis felt that his 2000 team , 11-1 year was a failure.

That's what real coaches feel.

Goal went from winning the Coastal to being bowl eligible. If given more time I'm sure it would probably be lowered to, "Any time you can get through the season with no on-field fatalities the season's gotta be considered a success."

I still hold out hope that if the right coach is hired (BUTCH!) then we can have a fast turnaround like UF. I mean what McElwain has gone in there and done in one freaking year is ridiculous. Undefeated in the SEC East his first year on the gig and should have beaten LSU. The same can happen with us. We just need a culture change.

I said that there were some members on the staff that should be given a shot to keep there jobs but I am not sure about that anymore. Whatever the new coach decides (BUTCH!) I am fine with. If he wants to fire everyone, so be it.

Can you fire an interim head coach? I was rooting for Larry Folden until I saw UM show zero heart on Saturday while getting humiliated by UNC. That was a pathetic performance.
 
It's a success, Miami can still possibly go 9-4 this year WITH golden being fired to put 1 million dollars and a cherry on top. This is what most canes fans wanted to get rid of golden so I don't see how anyone is saying its a failure. Cupboard is full for a real coach to cultivate and develop correctly

Considering Hurlie won two National Titles here, that made me sick.

This team and coaching staff still reek of Folden. Time to clean house.

Broke's idea of a successful season is one in which you're the most talented team in the division, eliminated from the race by mid-November, and have to fire your head coach after suffering the worst loss in school history.

Let me guess, you want Mario Cristobal as the next head coach, don't ya?

look i get it bud. but understand this, he has two winnable games left, he is trying to keep the kids motivated. if he comes out and says we suck and this season is a huge failure he is selling the kids down the river. anyone with class doesnt do that.
