This season has been remarkable

There is no excuse for losing to a 4-7 Pitt team. Sure, this was our 10th game in a row, on a short week, a day after Thanksgiving, at noon, on the road and basically your opponent's Super Bowl. That being said, here is what we've accomplished to date:

- We are 10-1 and about to play in our first ACC Championship in school history

- If we beat Clemson, we are more than likely in the College Football Playoff just two years removed from losing 58-0 at home to the same team

- At the absolute worst, we are in a Group of 5 game, most likely the Orange Bowl

- Mark Richt is 19-5 in two seasons at Miami

- Malik Rosier, a borderline D-1 starter in a vaccum, is 11-1 as a starter

- Mark Walton, perhaps our best player regardless of position, has been out since early October

- Ahmmon Richards, our second best offensive player behind Walton, has been at about 50% all season

- We were ranked in top 5 for the first time in a decade

- We have already won 10 games for the first time in 14 years and could very well win 11 or more

- We should be signing a top 5 recruiting class come December 15th/early February

- Our two biggest rivals are essentially irrelevant on the national stage

Today hurts for sure, but to lose sight of the big picture would be foolish.

It's been a great year, and I hope the foundation is being laid so the next QB can win a title.

Today sucked but this has been best season I’ve been a part of.

I was spoiled when we won the titles.

Sure nothing tops winning it all, and I know people won’t agree with me, but this season has been the most fun I’ve ever had watching football

It's becoming almost impossible to go undefeated. Clemson lost to Pitt last year and still won the NC.

Bravo, times a hundred thousand!!

It is natural for some fans to get too high on their team. We have no OL and haven't had one for about 10 years. Top ten teams rarely have that problem and National Championship teams never have it. To get to the ACCCG is an outstanding achievement and I'm proud of my team for getting there one way or the other. See you all in Charlotte. Lets go out big and loud next Friday night. we will do our part

This is a very good point that I had totally forgotten

Like I said before, I'll take 10-1 all day given the limited talent at critical positions (QB/OL).

How the team performs next year will greatly depend on the development of the freshmen QB and the younger OL.
