Only thing that's dead is this sack-less fan base. ****ing and moaning non-stop, stuck in the glory days and rooted in emotion over logic.

Gee, Miami ain't back yet—you don't say! 60-47 from Coker's final year to Golden's firing—and four head coaches over a ten-year span—yet the Canes aren't yet a Playoff contender three years into the Richt regime. Incredible!

Takes time to build a contender—and while most are too stupid to admit it, the fact a defensive coordinator just got hired away for a head coaching gig; it actually means Miami is CLOSER TO SOME DEGREE OF BACK than it was when it had coordinators and position coaches getting fired left and right.

The defensive job at Miami is one that people will actually WANT now that Diaz put it back together. Great opportunity to get a good guy now, while Manny gets to go cut his teeth at a program that's given it's last five head coaches better gigs (four in the past eight years.)

Some of What u say is true, what’s also true is that it doesn’t take more than 2-3 years tops to determine if a coach is capable of bringing a team to elite status. Richt is not.

Your argument tho becomes invalid when u say the fans expect a playoff team in year three. Nobody does. But what we do expect is wins against teams we have more talent than. Richts been unable to do that here.

We are tired of spinning our wheels with obviously garbage head coaches. This version of Mark Richt is garbage, and will be in years 4 and 5.

Hire Alex Grinch to replace Manny Diaz and maybe we land Battle & Stevenson, perhaps Dixon or Elam or Dent? Banda would then be free for Manny to bring with him. Next we hire an OC. Is it too late to get Mike Yurcich? Okay fine, lets roll with Kendal Briles. Now maybe Crowley flips back. Need to fire Searels, or at the very least bring down Cole Popovic from the Patriots to see what he thinks. If Patke wants to go with Manny and Banda, please go... we'll hire Michael Barrow who is currently unemployed.

The only way this **** show is negated is if we hire Briles for OC. But here's what's going to happen:

Moak calls plays next season. Searles is retained. Offense averages less than 26 ppg (against D-1 opponents). Defense will inevitably regress no matter who the D coordinator is (if its Tubberville my lord we might not win 5 games). Season starts with an absolute curb stomping against UF. Add losses to mighty Duke, @FSU, VT, and you know Moak is always good for a loss between UVA, UNC and Pitt.

Make changes and the fans will believe. Do the same **** and see what happens. 7-5 or worse and everybody (especially you mother f^cking Blake James) gets the f^ck out.

This program is and will always be a sleeping giant and we CAN win the natty given the right circumstances. The last 4 clown show coaches have done alot to damage the perception of the program however if a special hire is made and the right guy is brought in then i think we could be elite again.

We just need a competent head coach. Someone who can hire quality guys with ability scheme and design systems for specific players.

Miami can make coaches, coaches don’t make Miami.
