This offense

Tempo definitely helped out… quickly getting the play in and letting the young bucks play in space… crazzzzyyyyyy how that works

This drain the clock until the last second **** has to stop….
Yeah, I swear the players are more engaged when you have them go faster. Especially Beck, I think he needs that. I said yesterday that he's like a budget, sulky Brock Berlin, you need to let him sling it around and get in a rhythm.

We should be trying to get more possessions, not limit them. I don't want to see another possession where we take 7 minutes to go 40 yards and then punt. That's depressing. Go faster. I don't care if it puts more pressure on the defense, let them try to figure that out.

I'm actually really encouraged with what I saw last night.

Our terrible offense was still there and our terrible pacing was too. But I also saw glimpses of a style and approach that may be what gets the offense going again. There is something there that gives me a little hope. If we can expand that and refine it I think we may have a shot these last 3 games.

More space, faster tempo. First half: 160 yards 7 offensive points. Second half: 220 yards 24 offensive points.

There’s talent on this offense. Our TEs suck but Toney, Fletcher, Brown, Pringle, JoJo, Upshaw, Moore, Marion, Daniels, Lyle are all good players. Beck ain’t a scrub either. They’re all good enough to beat any ACC team. Our coaches are ******* it up.

The most positive thing I saw today was our offensive guys laughing, celebrating, & playing with joy. They weren’t doing any of that the past couple weeks when we were playing bro ball & running into 11 man boxes. I hope we can keep that up. It makes a difference
this^

They played much looser and had fun. It matters....

agree. It cannot go into hiding again....

Dawson needs to keep hearing the noise and feel the pressure

Those plays takes some of the pressure off of Beck's shoulders , too. It gets more of the offense engaged.

Just for some perspective on how low the bar is for Miami offenses, we're currently 31st in the nation in scoring offense. This would be our third-best scoring offense in two decades behind the D'Eriq King/Lashlee offense in 2020 (24th) and Cam Ward last year (1st). We also play two bad defenses and a mediocre one to finish the season.

If we play like we did against Syracuse, NC State will beat us. That was not good enough. We played SMU like we played Stanford and lost. But there are flashes to build on down the stretch. Need to get better.

D you know and I know that with our current QB play it will be extremely difficult to win out.

When Miami faces C.J. Bailey(they have 2 weeks to prepare), they will face a QB who can threaten a defense vertically and horizontally, with his big arm and legs.

Our QB cannot do either. Just come on the podcast, and say we are going to have to try to grind out wins because we have a QB issue that is allowing us to not be dynamic on offense.

I guarantee you Dawson doesnt want to play offense that lacks explosives.

I gurantee you Mario would love to hang 40 plus on teams, but they dont fully trust the QB, and he has given them reason to doubt.

Beck reminds me of my driver. I loss some distance as I aged(he maybe lost a bit of zip with injury), but every now and then I catch one on the sweet spot I can pipe it 280 down the middle.

I then get little over confident gear up on one and duck hook it out of bounds.

Overall its fairly accurate, but not trustworthy to let it fly on narrow holes.

Somebody don’t trust Beck. It’s either Mario or Dawson and I can’t figure out who.

This offense looked different last year but how many plays did Cam change.

This ish is a mystery
Do you blame either one of them for not trusting beck

Last night I saw two approaches:

1) Asking Beck to be your primary facilitator to deliver the ball, power run game, and do all that at a snails pace. Same old, same old.

vs

2) Speed up the pace, get the ball in the hands of Toney, attack the outside with speed, and let Beck be a complimentary passer. The drive at the end of the 3rd quarter with Toney and Pringle on the field together, my god, that's the most potent offense Miami can run right now. That was another level I don't think we've seen this year

They need to start the game with the second approach.

Honestly, I can't even watch it right now. Everything is wrong with this O. It is a complete mess. I would have nightmares if we played a OSU right now..Night terror's!

To me this is maybe our biggest problem. The first half Beck is sulking on the sidelines. The team seemed dead. The offense plays like front runners. There’s a lack of mental toughness and leadership. It shows in the penalties. It shows in watching Jojo half *** plays at times.

Is Beck perfect? No. But he’s plenty good enough for this offense to be far more productive and explosive than it is. The issues start/end with the predictable, plodding, conservative offense that does not favors for Beck or any other players on offense.

I had these same complaints when Gattis was the OC…I wonder what the common denominator

Same exact coaches as last year same exact system, and I would argue MORE explosive WR's in 2025 than 2024, mostly same OL that is giving the QB the most time to throw in the country.

It's staring you people right in the face.

Dawson doesn’t seem to have a flow to him calling plays. Rarely ever sets up future plays with his play calling. It’s almost like he has a list of down and distances and just pics from there.

Sometimes we look scripted early and that works well. After that it’s just a crap shoot.
