Dude had 4 years to build that program. Left with a losing record in the ACC. Plain and simple.

Golden has NEVER done anything, so any speculation on what Golden is doing versus what Golden HAS done is just that - speculation.

Butch HAS done something, put together our 2001 NC team, and except for a bad call - another NC team.

Butch has credibility. Your boy F.A.G. has no credibility.

Butch could come in today, and with the talent we already have - would win some games Golden is going to lose. This year.

But that's OK.

You're happy with a half-assed program, and are willing to risk another bad hire - knock yourself out.

Butch is a sure thing.

You can't compare North Carolina to Miami. Carolina ceiling is going always be 8 win team maybe they get hot one year and win 10 or 11. Recruiting north carolina and recruiting south Florida is apples and oranges. I think butch did a good job with that team being that they have Carolina player base team. He found the best players he could in Carolina area. That team gave us **** for a couple years. As bad as randy was as head coach, we just out talent a lot of his wins. Imagine Butch building a team like he did in Carolina with sofla base with players he pick out(miami 2001).

Is Butch coming back? Probably not. One can hope. BD is savant when come to eyeing talent.

Far as the bad game day coach thing. The head coach gives overall plan of attack (run more this week, air it out next, blitz more, etc). It the coordinators. Job to come up with a plan of attack to exploit the other team weaknesses. Unless you have a head coach like Rex Ryan or Jumbo Fisher actually calling the plays.

Take 10 scholarships per year away from Golden his first three years and compare to Butch. That's a comparison.

Compare Golden at an ACC basketball school (with a terrible history) to what Butch did at an ACC basketball school. That's a comparison.

Take 13 players off the team THIS YEAR, mostly starters from Golden, and see if he can go 8-5. Won't happen. Nor is Golden going to put nine in the NFL out of his seniors this year. Butch did.
