This is too much

Not too worried about tweets from teenagers when golden is destroying the program. Priorities. You have them?

Al Golden's job will be decided by his on field performance and record. But regardless of what HE does, or wether he is here in the next year or two or not, we still need TOP RECRUITS. People trashing our staff and program and doing things that can damage our recruiting is STUPID and does NOT help the program.

You want to b*tch on a message board about AG, fine. Write a letter to the AD, to the BOT, the NAACP or EPMD, go ahead. But tweeting recruits and trashing our recruiting boards with negativity, flying banners at big time rivalry games for our program that will be full of recruits, is BEYOND stupid. That will do NOTHING to help get rid of Golden, and will only serve to give more negative impressions of UM and its fanbase and program to recruits that may be on the fence as to what they are going to do.

How QUICKLY people forget Teddy Bridgewater's HATRED of UM fans. Did everyone here forget him punking UM fans at the end of last years Rustle bowl? Dude said he was beyond happy to watch UM fans leaving heartbroken. Basically HATES UM fans, and cited that as a HUGE reason he bailed on UM, for bashing Jacory as much, for one reason. Yes, Shannon getting canned was another, but Bridgewater was ALWAYS very consistent on how much he hates UM fans. A local Miami kid that was committed to us.

But Keep telling yourselves that none of this sh*t matters to these kids and has no effect.

Not reading all that. Disagree.

At this point, I couldn't care less how we perform on the recruiting trail.

This staff is so awful, that even if we close with the a bunch of studs from south Florida, they'll be mis-used and underdeveloped thanks to this staff.

You guys can complain all you want about the negativity surrounding the program due to sustained mediocrity under the current regime, but it doesn't change the fact that landing top tier kids like Mullen isn't going to turn the program around when they'll be coached by Golden and Co.

If these recruits wanna leave, show them the door. Im done getting into this recruiting nonsense & buying into these 4* 5*. Gimme a 3* with fire or a 4* like Berrios any day of the week.

So you like some 4 and 5*s, but not others? Sound reasoning.

Hopefully, the team adopts your recruiting philosophy, and stops trying to persuade top level recruits to come to UM if they're on the fence.

All of this "Fire Al Golden" propaganda is completely over the top. Not saying that the man is deserving of a new contract, but this is not the time to be doing this. Recruits see this stuff and it looks terrible to them.

“@SwaggMiami: @Mullen_2era you gotta understand al golden is turning the U into a joke....”Ok dnt mention me with that please thanks

Turning on our coach after the first game of the season is just ridiculous. You guys dont understand the repercussions that will come along with turning your back on a coach mid-season (starting over: schemes wise, recruiting wise and leadership wise) . In no way am I defending Golden, but it is honestly making us look bad by bashing our coach on any social media site/radio station in miami. Its frustrating to lose, but leave this talk till after the season.

Go Canes

Lost recruits = collateral damage.

Same could have been said when Randy Shannon was fired. Bottom line, when it is necessary to change coaches, you lose some recruits. Does that mean you shouldn't fire said head coach? Of course not.

Most people are only criticizing the coach, certainly not telling kids not to come to Miami. If a football player can't understand why a decade of mediocrity is unacceptable, and our "coach" proved he is more about Penn State than us, and we aren't ok with that, well then I'm not sure I want a guy like that anyway

Last thing I will say about people thinking this will effect recruiting, obviously you haven't been paying attention to what guys like Sony, Dalvin Cook, Ermon Lane, Travonte Valentine, Keth Bryant etc etc etc thought about our coach and program. I realize we don't exactly help the situation, but even worse is allowing an inept coaching staff to remain in power while we sit here and do absolutely nothing

Mental Midgets are going to do more harm to this
program then our whole inept coaching staff put together.
This whole feeding frenzy is a huge troll job, but the only
Thing getting trolled is This U.

What hurts more?

A.) Mean "Honest" Words

or

B.) 13-12 in the ACC and 0-3 against FSU

Honorable Mention

C.) The PSU Debacle

If it were announced at at the end of the season, Butch Davis would be the Head Coach, a lot of these kids would find out about him, and line up to let him in the door.

Because they would KNOW they would be developed and win at the same time.

Let him go sooner rather than later, we've seen his ceiling, and it's not good enough for the U of Miami. Let him go to a MAC school, that's his arena.

Some of you guys are so short sighted. Do you really believe that a couple years from now we're going to look back and say man, if only we hadn't flown that banner, we would have landed this guy and that guy? Get real. Getting the right coaches in here is infinitely more important than any recruit or recruits. Golden will get fired and the new coach will come in and salvage most if not all of the class. History supports this.

These kids want two things. 1) To win championships 2) To play in the NFL

Might some kids go elsewhere because of negative fan perception? Sure. More kids will COME to the program if #1 and #2 are being fulfilled. Ask any high school AD why these kids are leaving Miami to play college ball elsewhere and they will tell you that 9 out of 10 times it comes down to these kids feeling that they aren't going to win at Miami with the current staff/program make-up AND the success of other programs equates in their minds to a better chance at the NFL.

It doesn't matter what your 'opinions' are on this subject. This is what is all boils down to. Again, this is what I do for a living so I feel pretty confident that I know what I'm talking about.

The argument here is not wether Golden should be fired if he fails because it may impact recruiting. If he has to go, then he has to go. That's a no brainer. And if recruiting suffers, well that's part of the price we have to pay to make a change.

The issue is whether flying banners, especially in a key game like FSU, and publically trashing the program the way our fans do, and tweeting recruits, is helpful or not. I submit that it is NOT helpful in the LEAST in getting rid of Golden. Golden will be fired because of his record. If he keeps losing, he will be gone. Period. Flying banners and tweeting recruits to trash the program and staff is just unnecessary and carries with it much more negative risks than any potential positives. The BOT, AD or Shalala, as long as she's here, are not going to fire Golden because our fans on a message board or on twitter are insulting AG or flying banners. People were making fun of "Randy Shammin" and "Blandito" and Blandy" and all the other names and slaps at the guy LONG before he got the boot. And it was losses, and the clear negative trajectory of the program that got him the boot, not insults, or banners or people sending stupid tweets to our recruits.

People need to use some common sense. You want to b8tch about Golden here, fine. You want to send letters and emails to the AD or Shalala, by all means, DO IT, in fact, I would say that will probably carry a lot more weight, than some stupid banner, that frankly, ANY idiot can pay for and fly around, and it would not necessarily be seen as the "will" of a majority of UM fans. All it will do is probably further demoralize our players, during a huge rivalry game, and make us look like sh*t for many big time recruits. And the tweeting of recruits is just beyond stupid IMO. People doing that need to just stop.

This is impossible!!!

Most is relative. Most fans, no. Most of the loudest critical of Golden are rooting for us to lose saying kids shouldn't come here because the current staff will ruin their careers or saying how bad they feel for current players because everything is terrible here.

The whole we don't want that guy anyway is way over used. Sony was said to want game day atmosphere. Our version of that is empty seats and banners for the FSU game, not supporting the team, but to fire the coach.

Coach needs to go, but it is a kick in the **** to the players to hear fans are flying a banner at the biggest game of the year.

Pointing out the product to a recruit and seeing we need you to fix that is a **** of a lot different than saying that could be sucking too.

And it will have nothing to do with whether fans fly a banner or not.

"The squeaky wheel gets the grease."

You might think a banner flying won't change a thing, but if it won't then it certainly won't do any harm, either, will it?

You might think that flying a banner will hurt recruiting - either short-term or long-term - however the current state of mediocrity will likewise hurt recruiting.

You might think the Administration or BOT won't be compelled in the slightest to fire Golden if a banner flies over the UM/FSU game, but I guarantee, there will be some BOT members and some Administration members taking a much closer look at the discontent with the program that would prompt something like this.

It's embarrassing. And that's the point. You want to embarrass us with a mediocre product? Then we'll embarrass you with a public display of our discontent with mediocrity.

That's just the way it works.

And here we go. The "fans" are going to do their best to run off the recruits, and then complain that we couldn't hold out to our recruits. COMMENCE BANNERS!!!

Idiotic.
