Look at how Kirby has been recruiting. That should tell you how trash Richt is at recruiting when everything is equal.
 
We have enough talent to beat UVA. That was a trash team we played the other night. They didn't beat us, we just played worse than they did and we didn't even bother to try to exploit their weaknesses until that last drive.
 
It's not just crootin it's the development of the players as well.

We haven't seen anything like that in Coral Gables for 17 years.

We are recrutiing well enough to beat garbage teams like Virginia, UNC, etc. However, we are not recruiting near well enough to actually compete for the playoffs and beat teams like Clemson, UGA, OSU, Bama, etc.

Miami is 17th in overall team talent according to 247. Its based on players ranking coming out of hs. Uva is at 63.

Looking at the ap poll and comparing is interesting. Right now 10 of the top 12 teams in the ap poll are all in the top 12 of the team talent rankings.

Recruiting the last two years has been pretty good. 2019 is looking shaky unless we win the division.

This. Put our uniforms on different players and it’s the same thing. His playcalling puts our players at a disadvantage. Put guys like JT4 or Deejay Dallas in other schemes that mix it up on a weekly basis to get them touches and they produce EVERY GAME in some way. Not 1 touch for 5 yds for your most explosive playmaker, that’s almost trying to lose.

I better not hear anyone calling for Mario Cristobal thrown around on here. Those were fighting words when he was mentioned as a possible hire.

Yes, he's got Oregon playing well and recruiting well but this place would have burned to the ground if he was hired.

But then he goes right back to ole faithful, dive right, dive left. The schedule after that ND game was also a lot easier if you remember back. Richt showed a lot of balls going for a bunch of 4th downs versus FSU but coached the UVA game like he was playing against the 85 bears defense with a HS QB.
 
This is a big part of it for sure, re: Clemson ACCCG beatdown. Richt's offense is about executing and "whooping" the man in front of you, his words, rather than trick plays. But to say we don't have more talent then VA... There is no other excuse here for this loss, it's on Richt, not talent.

CanesDynasty....2 weeks after we lost to FSU in 98 I ran into Coach Bowden at a CircleK off of Appalatchee in Tally...(Business trip) He was standing outside putting peanuts into an RC Cola....I walked up..introduced myself...explained I had a family member on the coaching staff..and proceeded to talk for 10mins....I will never forget what he told me, because during the convo he could sense my Love for UM....he said, Brian...I can already see the improvement at UM.....they'll be back, and sooner than you think....A few wks later....we upset #2 UCLA....sending FSU into NC game...I will always have respect for Coach Bowden.....
