This is the kind of quote that makes me think he'll never get it

No. There’s a third option... the team improves just enough to give Blake reason to keep diaz another season.

This is the worst, and most likely outcome

****. I pretty much just regurgitated this with more words. Spot on sadly and nonetheless.

Manny said that despite the report, he had not fully made up his mind about Enos and wanted to see how this LA Tech game went:

“We still had a chance in the bowl game to see could there be potential for any improvement with the idea of, ‘Hey, this is something that can be turned around and get better’ ... Obviously the way that we performed in the bowl game just showed that was not the case.”

So, my desire for us to rip apart LA Tech, appears to have been ill placed. According to this quote, assuming it's not just coach speak (and I suspect it isn't), if we had ripped apart LA Tech like any team with our talent should have done, Manny would've pulled a Golden, and kept his buddy.

Wow. I mean, since he is coming back for one more season, I foolishly am hoping against hope that just maybe, we can have a positive season in 2020, but reading this quote... just wow....
Yes, I found the quote quite disappointing. It shows just how clueless he is.

There is no point in beating this up.

We are in a win, win situation. Either Manny finds lightning in a bottle with the most important hire of his head coaching career or he is fired and goes on to coach linebackers in 2021 or 2022.

It is that simple.
Well said, couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s truly sink or swim time for Mandy.

Agree that is terrifying 1mg but it won’t happen. A leaped doesn’t change its spots just like a corch doesn’t all of a sudden become a coach. The players don’t respect him and won’t buy in fully because Diaz just doesn’t have it plain and simple. After a loss to temple and MSU the team will quit and we’re looking at 6-6 best cade scenario but more then likely 4-8 or 5-7 and then it’s bye bye manure!

Manny doesn’t get it, and won’t.

Or he makes a mediocre hire that is only slightly better than Enos, we win like 8 games next year with no marquee losses to the FIU/La Tech types and Blake and the administration cite this as some great improvement and trend toward success and keep him for a 3rd year.

Believe me, there's ALWAYS a gray area with UM where they leave room to keep to keep the status quo.

I literally said 2021 or 2022 but ok.

I literally said 2021 or 2022 but ok.

You literally said "or he goes on to coach LBs in 2021 or 2022". So at least half of your statement would imply the black & white "win-win" scenario you setup would involve him being fired after the 2020 season.

Is him being fired before a 4TH season really some win-win for you? That'd be the school just doing it at the last minute- as many of us anticipate.

Are you going to be ok?

Let's all be brave as we face this together. Laugh in the face of death. This is gonna be a long year or two until he gets canned. Embrace it.

U can’t see an O improved just enough to beat the Go5 teams, and, with a couple lucky breaks, not lose to duke and whatever other dregs are on the schedule?

They Come out w one more win than last year, and Blake keeps him?

Based on the last 20 years, that’s how I see it going.

Enos and Diaz were "buddies"? First time I hear this. Anyways, whatever, he's gone. Now people are complaining how it was done. LOL
How many top OCs were hired in the weeks that Manny was spending sitting on his thumbs? People have every right to complain about the delay when it took the potentially right OC off of the market, not to mention the fact that it looks like all other o

In addition, who was gonna call plays for the bowl game, Hickson or Stubblefield?
It was the Walk On Bowl vs Louisiana Tech. Who cares? If your career was on the line, would you risk missing the right OC because of who would call plays in a meaningless bowl game?

How do you know he was sitting on his thumbs? I get the hate but now you are making stuff up to fuel the hate!

Yea I see what your saying my friend but with the 21 recruiting class already in the tanks and the team already quitting on him and due to being viewed as dead man walking Diaz ain’t attracted any top notch OC or staff. No ones hopping on this sinking ship. Diaz lost his job the day he lost to FIU. It’s not if 1mg, it’s just when now. There’s no recovering from that. Diaz is nothing more then a linebacker coach who can’t recruit who builds a defense as a DC I’m smoke and mirrors. Watch the rest of his career After he’s fired from here.

We posted the worst offense Miami has seen in its modern era. We were **** near dead last in 3rd downs and not much better in points. In light of that, this quote directly from the horse's mouth:
"“We still had a chance in the bowl game to see could there be potential for any improvement with the idea of, ‘Hey, this is something that can be turned around and get better’ "

is the definition of sitting on your thumbs. You had 12 games of evidence that the offense was trash, but you were waiting to see if we put up points in a meaningless bowl game against LT to make your decision? Instead, you wasted nearly a month when you could have been sending out feelers, interviewing coaches, and getting a pick of the full litter.

Edit - stop using exclamation marks like a teenager to emphasize your idiotic analysis.

This dude is a bull****ter man he lies so much he forgets all the bull**** he spews.

At end of day the man is gone. Who is out there right now that we missed on for OC?
