on offense when we're lacking explosiveness

Whether its personnel, OL or whatnot, we need to double that number to win saturday in the way we all would want to

I’m not sure where you got those stats, but we are averaging over 4 yards of carry this season.

We don’t throw the ball downfield enough. You have to take shots down the sidelines and seams because it keeps everyone honest. If it’s not a possibility then everyone starts leaning forward. Just watching Pringle he’s getting to the second level but LBs and Safeties are waiting for him. Last year there was more second level space for Martinez because defenses favored the pass against us. Until Beck starts maximizing his 20+ throws defenses will continue to shut down the run.

Mario mindset is flawed, he literally complained to announcers about his offense having to be aggressive and scoring, lol.. I dont think thats a good mindset a HC should have and shouldnt look at it at running up score, so now whole team is uncomfortable being aggressive. Its the way you frame things mentally and as leader how you set that vision. We dont even know how to be aggressive, lol..

Good thing we started trying after SMU loss.

We lack explosiveness because we choose to lack explosiveness. The deep ball was there all day, but we chose not to take it most of the game.

Look at that last drive… they almost ran out of time because they don’t push the ball down field.
They dont trust beck to sling it, and I dont blame them. My heart drops every time he throws past 10 yards. Dude is an interception machine. Agaisnt VT he hit their DB in the chest, thank goodness it was dropped.

Beck had one bad game. If you don’t trust your 5th year transfer QB because of 1 game, you’re too soft shouldered to be a HC.

I was comparing the offensive stats from last year to this year on an individual basis, and my god the difference is depressing.

Last year we had a 1k rusher, Fletcher with 600 and Lyle with 400.

We are nowhere near that. Not to mention ward had over 4k passing yards and Beck hasn't even reached 3k.

We regressed so much offensively this year its depressing.

Yup. We were first in plays over 10 and over 20 yards last year

This year we are like 50-60th maybe worse even playing some dog**** defenses lately

Every first down feels like a grind and a false start, hold etc basically erases our ability to pick it up

Your metric is "bad game" which doesnt make sense because it only takes 1 play to ruin a game (or season). You can have a great game, but if you throw a pick in OT against SMU, you lose ( and likely miss ACC champ game and CFP birth).

I have watched every throw this year as I presume you have. Only 1 of his interceptions was a "bad luck/tip ball" situation. The rest were very poor throws or throws right at a defender. There would be 3 more picks at least if DB caught balls thrown right at them. If there is any pressure at all, his accuracy drops totally.

Aside from DB drops, lets not mention how lucky he has been in other ways like with the CJ daniels catch agaisnt ND - if not for miracle Top 10 single hand catch thats also an interception.

Im rooting for beck just like you - but both his chances this year to do a game winning drive, he failed. I dont think they trust him and i dont think its because they are "soft"
