It’s the Boise affect.Gotta get rid of auto bids for sure. If G5 team is undefeated and ranked in top 12 then sure. But if not too bad

This is the biggest disaster scenario ever for the committee, espn, ACC and college football.
It’s about to blow the whole things up. You are either not going to punish teams for conference losses, punish for conference losses, keep out a P4 conference, let in two group of 5 teams, or show its all 100% rigged.
There is no way this doesn’t get really messy. It’s going to lead to major changes in college football. We could conference championships dissolved, 16 team playoff, new conference alignment or just two power conferences.
This season is about to bring a wrecking ball to college football as we know it.
Who wants to watch Tulane and JMU get throttled? Auto bids are likely going away and it will just be top ranked teams at the end of the year.
Facts. Bs participation trophy mentality. The purpose is to have 12 best teams not to make everyone feel included/warm & fuzzy. Oregon & Ole Miss essentially get automatic W's playing G5 teams. A jokeCommittee needs to override JMU getting in and put ND/Bama/Miami in. No reason for Tulane and JMU to be in, let alone both

The conference ****ed miami now they make no money. Best part ND uses the ACC like a cheap ***** they lose to the top team UM then pad wins with bottom feeders of the league. ND gets in Miami out and walk away with all the money earned getting into the CFP. You can’t make this **** up.I’m hoping Miami gets in, but on the other hand ACC deserves to not have a playoff team in. **** this conference.
To be fair, we watched Tennessee, Indiana, Clemson and SMU all get throttled in the first round last year.
Rollerballesque…Oh for sure. I have been saying for weeks Miami is out. The committee has been rigging it for who they want for multiple weeks. Nothing changes that. They don’t care about results. They are picking who they want to.
What’s funny about this is that the rules say “5 highest ranked conference champions”. I would argue that if there are only 4 conference champs ranked in the top 25 that only 4 ranked ones should get in. Which would open up a spot.Facts. Bs participation trophy mentality. You are out of your mind lol. Duke isnt getting inDuke will get "ranked" higher than JMU and get into the playoffs. Miami will be first out at #11.
This scenario makes me want to puke.
One of the criteria the committee is supposed to take into account is injuries. It's literally in black and white on the playoff website. They can’t keep changing the rules, moving the trucks around & making it up as they go. That’s when it looks rigged. SEC really shilling to get Alabama in since they didn’t make it last year. DeBoer was already beating his gums in the post game about how the loss shouldn’t affect them, they had injuries, blah blah (who doesn’t?)
We should be trimmming the number of teams and not expanding. That’s why going to 16 is stupid but it’s happening. There will always be bubble teams and most don’t deserve to get in anyways.

This makes sense to me But it doesn’t help Miami for this year because of the greed, self-interest of Thee Committee members. By any metric, UM>ND, so we’re getting hosed.I think this is the last year they allow this as too much money and power is involved especially if the ACC gets left out completely.
You a lot of really good/solid teams at home with big money markets in power conferences while ppl watch Tulane and JMU. Yeah they aren’t going to let that happen again.

Bama is not getting left out. Heather Dinnich confirmed it. Every personality has basically said “Alabama doesn’t really deserve to be in, but they’re the SEC runner up so yeah they’re not getting bumped out”.Personally I love the chaos. Anything that helps blow up the system, because it is a joke and everyone knows it. The biggest problem is the next iteration is going to be just as ridiculous and absurd.
Don’t you think the entire nation is on the edge of its seat waiting to see riveting matchups like James Madison at Oregon and Tulane at Texas A&M? Or even better, a rematch of the Tulane Ole Miss instant classic 45-10 game from earlier this year? I mean, what a treat for college football fans!
Also, to those of you that think it’s unimaginable that Alabama gets left out - do you not remember that they missed the playoff last year too? Bottom line I think we’re in and will be playing at Oklahoma
