This is basically a brand new team in 2014

Hurns had a 1000 yard season how did he suck

- 3 star out of high school
- Didn't get drafted out of college.
- Has a 1000 yard season at Miami.

What does that tell you?

MAYBE that we've been relying on SUBPAR athletes for too long for production and that's part of the reason we've sucked.

I like Allen Hurns' heart, but he is being replaced by better receivers this year.

What a horrible post. Henderson was a 7th round pick who was in and out the lineup. He couldn't even consistently start. His "athletic" prowess didn't do anything special on the college level, so what is it worth? There's been plenty of good players here who never did **** in the NFL. That doesn't take away from what they did at Miami. You are truly a special kind of jackass for that post. I guess kids like James Lewis weren't Miami caliber, either.

The "everybody gets a medal" bull**** is giving Henderson props for getting drafted while ****ting on a kid who put together one of the best seasons ever for a WR here.

I'll give you henderson, but that means only linder and o'donnell were miami caliber guys. I'm gonna throw Bunche's name in there for consideration as well because having him this year would have helped.

Hurns is what he is man. If he were that great he would have been drafted, that's all there is. He was a good player with a lot of heart, but nobody wanted to put their money where their mouth is and give him a million dollar contract.

Money don't lie.

Are we allowed to call somebody an idiot on here?

Good rule of thumb is: Attack the post, not the poster. Let's keep this place spirited, yet civil.

I think the term is somewhat subjective, and so it may be preferable to be a bit more specific. After all, it's such an overused, broad term, whereas, and I'm just giving you an example here - a more accurate such as "mewling, fool-plucked maggot pie."

Now no one can say that's a personal insult, as it's much too specific - more like an accurate description.

See, a 'qualling, clapper-bred mold warp" is highly descriptive - and while it's insulting, most folks who you call these names - the idiots - won't know if they were insulted or not. See how this works?

I like it.

So maybe say something like, "I'm reminded of another slack-jawwed knuckle dragger that I used to know."

You forgot classy. I don't know about you but when other fans talk about Miami fans I want them to say that we're a classy tip-o'-the-cap type of bunch.

Unfortunately a lot of those guys played a lot and apparently as per our coaches at least could not be replaced. I can't get on board with addition by subtraction until I see the new guy play. I can say, for instance, that Kirby was certainly not a better player than Gaines last year when he got in games. It's better when such a list features a bunch if guys who didn't play.

Look at the USF game again and tell me Kirby didnt look better.

I don't have a great recollection of USF besides our offense landing over-the-top shots all over them and their complete quarterbacking ineptitude. But, what would be the explanation for why GoldenAl didn't let this better player play? Kirby had size and was not brand new but he played little last year despite Gaines' mediocrity. Sorry but we've seen Kirby and he's never looked that good. I hope he is now but I'm not expecting anything great until I see it.

I will not miss Henderson, erratic at best.

Linder, Porter, Hagens, O'Donnell and Hurns, pretty solid players, and I have a hard time including a punter on any list, but deserved.

Even though I agree that most of our other players weren't up to, or in some cases, far from, the caliber of talent that we all expect from the U, they did play and contribute during some difficult times for the U.

Enough with the "everybody gets a medal" bull****.

Henderson, Linder, and O'Donnel are the only players that have a possible future in the NFL. The rest are/were not Miami caliber athletes and they're being replaced by kids who SHOULD be more talented in most cases.

Good call you old piece of ****. Stick to shuffleboard and skittles.
