This is basically a brand new team in 2014

Hurns had a 1000 yard season how did he suck

- 3 star out of high school
- Didn't get drafted out of college.
- Has a 1000 yard season at Miami.

What does that tell you?

MAYBE that we've been relying on SUBPAR athletes for too long for production and that's part of the reason we've sucked.

I like Allen Hurns' heart, but he is being replaced by better receivers this year.

What a horrible post. Henderson was a 7th round pick who was in and out the lineup. He couldn't even consistently start. His "athletic" prowess didn't do anything special on the college level, so what is it worth? There's been plenty of good players here who never did **** in the NFL. That doesn't take away from what they did at Miami. You are truly a special kind of jackass for that post. I guess kids like James Lewis weren't Miami caliber, either.

The "everybody gets a medal" bull**** is giving Henderson props for getting drafted while ****ting on a kid who put together one of the best seasons ever for a WR here.

I'll give you henderson, but that means only linder and o'donnell were miami caliber guys. I'm gonna throw Bunche's name in there for consideration as well because having him this year would have helped.

Hurns is what he is man. If he were that great he would have been drafted, that's all there is. He was a good player with a lot of heart, but nobody wanted to put their money where their mouth is and give him a million dollar contract.

Money don't lie.

You're talking **** about the player who holds the Miami single season record for receiving yards.

Maybe if he broke it by three times as much we would have had a chance to beat Duke, duh.

Doesn't matter, he didn't get drafted. Like Marquis Maze at Alabama. Not an Alabama quality player because he didn't get drafted. Same with Jeff Demps at UF. One of the very worst posts I have ever seen.

Charlie Ward was the worst football player ever. He could have never played at NFL U brah

Charlie Ward played basketball. Man you guys are funny, you got any more?

Jason White and Chris Weinke--neither were any good. Their Heismans were participation medals.

You actually said that Hurns deserved a participation medal for being one of four WR's in school history to get over 1,000 yards. LOL!

We might as well hand out participation awards to players like Hurns, O'Donnell, and Linder. The ribbon should be called, "Miami caliber player".

Unfortunately a lot of those guys played a lot and apparently as per our coaches at least could not be replaced. I can't get on board with addition by subtraction until I see the new guy play. I can say, for instance, that Kirby was certainly not a better player than Gaines last year when he got in games. It's better when such a list features a bunch if guys who didn't play.

The loss of Blue and Figueroa is crushing from a depth perspective. Becomes even more crushing when you factor in that Johnson, Paul, Terry already were booted. Depth there is awful.

Look at the USF game again and tell me Kirby didnt look better.

Replacing 10 starters is not easy man.....Golden. Cue the excuses already.

Luckily for everyone involved, the outgoing 10 starters are being replaced by guys that have displayed at least some talent.

Morris - Heaps/Williams
Hurns - Coley
Hagen - Tucker
Henderson - Gadbois
Linder - Isidora
Porter - Wyche
Green - AQM
Gaines - Kirby
Cornelius - McCord
Highsmith - Bush

**** that feels good

* As far as defensive upgrades, Golden mentioned Tyriq McCord, Ufomba Kamalu and Thomas as “guys that can get to the quarterback,” and said UM will be “stronger inside with more guys that can push the pocket,” name-checking Michael Wyche, Olsen Pierre, Earl Moore and Calvin Heurtelou. Talking “guys that can strike at linebacker,” he mentioned Denzel Perryman, Raphael Kirby, Thurston Armbrister and Jermaine Grace (who now weighs and will play at 210 pounds).

* Golden lauded the work of Anthony Chickillo and Kamalu – who is now 6-5 and 293 pounds – and said both have been excellent this summer. They will compete for the strong-side defensive end spot and Golden said he can split up the pair to go bigger on the ends. Thomas will also play a role on the strong side. Al-Quadin Muhammad and McCordare the weak-side defensive ends. McCord can play strong-side linebacker in some packages.

I'd hate to see a guy with Chad Thomas's gifts stuck at strong-side DE, especially as a freshmens. But I'm going to trust my coaches.

Rok is giving Golden the rope to either win or hang himself. All this talent discussion is really code to say Golden has no excuses... And I essentially agree with this. We need to win 9+ games with the talent we now have, and improve dramatically on defense. That's the minimum bar for me.

There were some great kids out of the guys who left. Anyone knocking Hurns is an idiot. That kid was clutch. ... But overall, we traded up with a more talented and mature team in 2014 than 2013. It's "show me" time.

We lost 26 scholarship players from a year ago.

Need to replace 10 starters.

Morris
Clements
Hagens
Hurns
Cleveland
Linder
Henderson
Wheeler
Bunche
Perry
Robinson
Porter
Green
Renfrow
Gilbert
Hoilett
Cain
Gaines
Cornelius

Blue
Figueroa
Highsmith
Rodgers
Dortch
Hope
O'Donnell

The only three that could play football worth a **** were Linder and Henderson and O'Donnell.

Um...Hurns?

Did you eat paint chips as a kid?

You are making up **** because you forgot to mention his name.

This isn't the NFL, so his draft status is meaningless when it comes to recognizing his contributions and importance to the team.
