This has probably been covered, but our kickoff guy...

I've never seen anything like this. Has there been a game yet where he hasn't kicked the ball out of bounds???

I know this is a relatively minor issue overall, but it's also a microcosm of the ridiculousness going on around here.

I mean, if you do this once, as a coach I'm looking at you sideways. Because it's unacceptable. You're definitely on a short leash, just don't do it again. But repeatedly? Every (or almost every) single game? And again this Saturday during a close rivalry game? By now, I would have lost my mind on the kid. Bench his ***. Chew him out. Threaten his life. SOMETHING. Maybe I'm naive, but I'd rather put in the backup guy a few times to at least send a message--if not to straight up replace the guy--even if he's not as good. But we leave him in to do it over and over again. I guess we #DESERVEPENALTIESONKICKOFFS .

As far as I can tell, our coaches either ignore him coming off the field or try to give him some encouragement. "Get 'em next time" and "fall back on your training" type stuff. Too soft.

I can't help but picture someone like Les Miles dealing with this. He might have choked the kicker out on live tv against F$U, if not beforehand.

Just makes no sense, both the guy kicking out of bounds like it's his job and how our coaches deal (or better yet, don't deal) with it.

Amazing.

he is another Golden walk on and gets coached only by Golden...that alone he should be fired

He allowed FAU a td after a KO out of bounds, Neb, Cincy then FSU...

I swear Golden wants to leave

Joe Rose brought that up to Golden this AM on 560 LOL, to which Al said "we're working on it"...so I guess he'll work with the leadership to convince kickers to keep it in the middle of the field.

He almost seemed insulted by the question........like "oh come on Joe". Dude you coach the guy and he can't kick a freaking ball straight. If thats the case, stop kicking it to corners at all and lets just make a freaking tackle.

he would be put in a hall way at school and told to kick the ball, if it touches a wall we start sanding your tuff boy tats off with a grinder...

let Badgley kick off the guy works hard and deserves a shot,...**** this Hepatitis C ******t

Loved the fact that he had to kick off from the 50 yard line from a penalty and kicked it out of bounds giving FSU the ball at the 35 don't think I have ever seen that one before. We all know we cant fire the special teams coach.

This. Might as well have tried an on-sides kick.

Epitomizes Golden's special teams.

Maybe they should have a team vote?

Could we get a poll on here? I'm in the mobile. No can do.

Wasn't he the guy on the video kicking 70 yard FG? Maybe the tats had negative effect on his kicking.

I recall this as well. The guy is horrendous. Seems to have performance anxiety when the lights come on.

Covered...well played..lol.

Inexcusable stuff with a diciplined quality coaching staff. With Golden, he just offers the same ****...its on us to get it fixed. Never gets fixed though, and he never explains why.

If somebody presses him on it (never happens)...we are short on scholarships and require walk on assistance at the position...blah, blah blah.

UM

As you rightfully stated, it's a microcosm of much, much larger issues starting with the 3 stooges (one of whom is the king stooge)...

Exactly. It's like Alfredo wanted to immediately dismiss the question and move on. Joe Rose doesn't care enough to ever press him on anything so that's basically what they did.

The saddest part out of these last few years is how mentally and emotionally weak our players become when here. For all of Gluten's psychological salesmanship, he takes pure southern savages and turns them into 14 year old girls with braces and acne problems...and the second they leave the program they go back to savage mode and compete like ******* warriors versus the very top level of competition (NFL). We are VERY close to being a winning program, we just need someone to skull **** Gluten and bury him and his boyfriend Dorito in the graveyard of failed corches that went on to be HS corches.

This **** here had me rolling. Keep preaching.

Wait a minute. That really happened?

Why does he take a looping approach to the kickoff? It's not straight or standard. Just asking for problems, like a golfer with alignment issues or a hitch in his swing. Only the best can overcome that type of thing.

Every miss has been left. That's supposed to be fixable, unlike a 2-way miss.
