This defensive line can’t be blocked

“We lost the game at the line of scrimmage, and I think it got worse in the second half,” “I think we just couldn’t keep them off of us. We couldn’t get the run game established. We became one dimensional. Once we became one dimensional, they were able to tee off. I think they finished with seven sacks. We didn’t win the line of scrimmage.

“You can’t play playoff football and not win the line of scrimmage. Obviously they were able to get the run game going, and we wound up losing the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and you’re just not going to win when that’s the case.”

- Mike Elko in his post game press conference
How? They said Bain wouldn't be an issue? They wrote bad NLI checks

I watched a lot of IU-OSU.

Sayin wanted to cherry-pick some deep shots to his two stud WRs. However, he didn’t have time because that IU DL played really well. And he’s too small and slight and not athletic enough to either make guys miss or break a tackle so he can’t reset his feet and go deep (like you see a Josh Allen do).

We NEED to win the line of scrimmage with front 4. If we don’t and he has ideal conditions, bad news.

I thought OSU was only able to complete short passes, which IU was content to give up. I assume Miami will have same game plan, ie keep WRs in front and gang tackle.

I think where OSU is lacking is their RBs are good but Judkins and Henderson ain’t walking through that door. Those 2 were next level. None of the RBs are those guys. They struggled with short yardage.

IMO, if we can hit 20 we win, but that’s a ridiculous OSU defense. Next level. This is another game like TAMU that will be played in a phone booth.

We will need 100% better offensive play coming up. We can't wait until the final minutes of the 4th to wake the **** up.
10 points is not gonna cut it. Even with our line.

You said we had multiple 310+ bodies which we don’t. We don’t even have one - I always said I liked the talent.

You argued with me about the weights which you were about 10-20 pounds off on your estimates and that’s OK, but you were dead wrong.

Thank you for your continued clicks you clown!
BS! You’re nothing but a clown that knows nothing about playing football because, like we all know, you never played the ******* game. Your opinions are garbage because you never have been on the field. And yes, we do have multiple defensive tackles above 310 pounds. You would know that, if you ever actually played the game and knew what it looked like. You’ve hated on this defensive line since the beginning of the year and there has been podcast receipts to prove it. So **** off clown!

Oh, and let’s not forget good old @Peter Ariz was on the podcast the other day hyping up Horton from Georgia! Lol saying he still wished he was on the team. Lol real dude, that guy hasn’t done **** for georgia all season But it’s cool man, your agenda is bull**** and we all know it but keep up with it if that’s what makes you happy. D money called your lame *** out on the summer podcast when you were disrespecting this defensive line and you still won’t eat crow for it cause you’re a ******* *****!

The thing about Blount and Lightfoot is that they clearly are not technicians yet but they hustle their a$$es off on every play and cause a lot of chaos.
Those two give everything every play. Lightfoot made an amazing big play saving tackle that was all effort. It’s fun watching talent in waves at Miami again.

The day you finally own up to how wrong you were when you disrespected this defensive line in the summer @Peter Ariz and eat the well-deserved crow you should’ve eaten a long time ago when this defensive line showed how dominant they are, the minute you do that, I’ll stop busting you up over it. D money tried to set you straight in the summer, but you’ve continued to bury your head in the sand ever since then. Oh, and that podcast from the summer exists, so the receipt receipts are there sport.

The few other teams that had success against their offense the last two seasons have also done a good job limiting their run game.

Texas held them to 2.3 ypc. Oregon in the first game last year allowed 4.3 but 53 of the yards were on one play. Nebraska who played them close last year held them to 2.1 ypc and Michigan last year held them to 3 ypc

Everyone justifiably thinks about their WRs when they think OSU, but they are a lean-run team. Keeping them under 4ypc is paramount if we want a shot of winning this game imo.

Pete this is the guy who said Beck was an upgrade over ward all off season don’t even respond to him.

If we had ward this year we’d be undefeated and one of the great college teams ever
