Third string QB Question

If a kid chooses to go somewhere else because he likes the locker room better, then he’s probably a ****** checker, and he’s definitely softer than a rotten plum.

We might not have slides and chocolate fountains, but our facilities are good enough to attract the kinds of dogs we need to win. I’m not so sure I want football players who are overly concerned with the country of origin of the laminate on the lockers.
Exactly....Of all the things to Moan and B*tch about the last Umpteen yrs....Locker Decor should be Dead F-ing last....These Pussified and Prima Donna *** kids of today wouldn't have lasted 5mins back in the Day...

Lol...I remember when Arthur Brown left UM to go to Kansas...and then tried to enter the UM Locker room on a visit later on, and was met by several UM Players who escorted his *** outta Hecht...In comparison to the Lockers and Weightroom from the 80s...90s & even early 2000s..These Kids should feel blessed that they have what they have....

Hey Look!!...Sherman Helmsley has returned!! with his ***gotry....Lol...What a Douchebag....

Why are people against upgrading our lockeroom, it looks old, we aren't broke, not saying it should defining factor

If any kid says decides the new IPF, meeting rooms, dorms, and attitude aren't enough and ******* about the locker decor, they don't deserve an offer because they'll never see the field.

The problem with your logic is your hypothetical about QB2.

QB3 transferring would be understandable because that kid would be looking for a shot just to compete for playing time somewhere.

QB2 is a different story because nobody on our current roster that might end up in this spot would be guaranteed the starting job at ANY major program (and no- not Jarren at Kentucky). So basically they'd be leaving to either start at an FIU type program at best or to have the same shot at playing time essentially as they would here as the backup.

hypothetically, if youre a kid who's only goal is to make it to the league (lets be real, thats their goal) and youre stuck behind a guy who has 3-4 years of eligibility left, would you stay on or would you leave? thats the point i was making. its in their best interest to leave, whether it be UCF or UK. w the way CFB is televised, kids will get noticed no matter where theyre at. the thing they cant do is get noticed if theyre holding a clipboard for 3 years. martell came here without a guarantee and he may not even end up starting. would you fault him for leaving if hes the second or third stringer? he was going to be a second string QB at OSU and he said EFF that im out.

id argue that our previous facilities badly needed upgrades bc it was straight trash, but with the IPF and recent upgrades, you cant say that anymore. what we have should be good enough to make kids feel like they have similar perks that other named schools have

Your argument fails because no one is “stuck behind” anyone here. No one has established himself as QB1, and whoever is named starter will likely be on a short leash. So there’s absolutely zero reason for the backup to leave before the season starts.

no ****. no one is leaving tomorrow or in july. you will have one of the three leaving once the starter is selected (odd man out i.e. third string). the backup will likely bounce after the season depending on how the season unfolds. also, if youre going to pick a starter for the season, go all in unless hes ****ting the bed. none of that richt **** where hes switching QBs every 40 seconds last year. the hope is Enos summer camp is a true battle and the guy that wins is the guy they have supreme confidence in. no short leashes

I thought you were claiming both backups would transfer as soon as the starter was named. If you’re claiming only that QB3 will transfer, then that’s not exactly going out on a limb.

I don’t think any of them should leave given the uncertainty at the position and lack of experience of all of them. But I could see QB3 leave.

It ain’t the 80s anymore man, we got to get with the times. The programs doing it the best right now(bama and Clemson) know the importance of it.
Baga and Clem$on aren’t winning because of their locker rooms. They sling bags harder than anyone, and they have the two best HCs in college football. Sabag might be the best of all-time. That’s why they win.

Alabaga had a ton of money and facilities and all that **** before Sabag, but they sucked on the field because they had some ****** HCs.

Our Lockers and Weightroom are fine...
Didn’t say anything about the weight room. Fine for bottom half of power 5 schools? Yeah probably so... look it needs to be renovated and Miami has the money to do so. As i said before schools like ga tech , South Carolina and Kentucky have better lockerrooms than Miami, that shouldn’t happen period.

I just don’t want a situation where recruits view Miami facilities(mainly the lockerroom) and view Miami as second rate because of that. The only complaint now adays that is kind of true since most of the other things are new or being take care of can be about the lockerroom or player lounge as its lacking a bit in reference to other schools we directly compete against in recruiting

Look at Texas, their complete lockerroom upgrade was a little over 1 million, that can be done..

in our specific case, yes none of the three should leave, but i think they will. you can absolutely see it with martell and w J Williams, you see the chatter already began and we dont even have a depth chart yet.

texas has a mill under their pillow. we were crowdfunding an IPF while it was being constructed in order to pay for the **** thing. also, didn't the IPF come with a brand new weight room?

this. clemsons recruiting classes weren't special early on, but they developed kids well and coached them up. now theyre recruiting on Bamas level, but it wasn't always that.

Even uga crowdfunded their ipf, it’s normal . But they said renovated weight room before the season last year but it looked like they changed the plans schematically as the weight room was supposed to be directly led into the ipf. They have added some branding and things to the weight room though
