Things are bad but I’ll say this

Mario is in total control of all the outcomes. He knows this roster must be turned over through recruiting and the portal, and he’s been busting his *** to do just that. But what’s also needed is a modern offense that caters to our personnel and places our players in the best position to succeed. Mario needs to humble himself and realize a pure ground & pound style won’t win in todays era. For Miami to reach its long term goals he must find a more creative, innovative OC cuz if not we’re DOA.

There’s a reason why we’re consistently rated as one of the worst fan bases in the country…

I understand why everyone’s ****ed, I am too. But there’s just no long term outlook on here. There’s so many examples of programs being at rock bottom and turning it around. Cant run at the first sign of trouble. Gotta see how this season plays out. Imagine if Clemson fans got their way in 2010 after Dabo started off his tenure 19-15? They all wanted him gone. Not saying Mario is Dabo, just saying that there’s a pretty clear path where he turns it around, and a clear record of people doing it at other schools.
We also have by far the most national brand outside of Notre Dame

Miami has fans everywhere

Good ones

This. We absolutely MUST NOT let that old ******* **** on us at Our House. I don’t care what Cristobal has to do over the next two weeks: UNC is the Season.
Yup, things will fall apart even more if we lose against North Carolina. I know it's sounds ridiculous but we haven't played one ACC game yet, we can still win the coastal. What we can't do is just lay down and give up on the season after two straight losses.

I’m getting too old for this ****. I have to listen to myself, where in the offseason I posted that I was happy they got rid of Mandy, and that I was gonna be okay with Mario, win or lose, cause at my age, I don’t have too many coaching cycles left to see my beloved U in the NC. I just didn’t calculate in that it could get this bad. Perhaps I should focus on what’s important in my life, and worry less about this unending plunge of this program. Just thinking…

You sound like me, last week.

I called this lol
It’s fine to criticize this, but it’s also a fact that you can point at a ton of decent coaches that had struggles in Year 1 and needed to shake things up. The parallels run both ways.

1st year coaching records at current school

Sam Pittman 3-7
Lane Kiffin 5-5
Dave Aranda 2-7
Josh Heupel 7-6
Dabo 4-3

I could post a lot more. We are no better right now than any of these programs were and honestly we are probably no worse than when the coaches took over.

The loss yesterday was unacceptable, but this is why we have a new coach and staff. The roster is bad and this year is going to be rough.

I’ll be at UNC because I personally believe that Mario can get this fixed. I’m also extremely disappointed in what I saw yesterday and I expected us to win the Coastal this year.

Both things can be true.
This loss was horrific. I’d struggle to find one worse in the list of coaches you gave. But I’ve repeatedly said on here if Mario doesn’t have a philosophy change in the same manner dave aranda did he won’t succeed. This isn’t Georgia. We will not land #1 classes. Aranda was full mario style year one. Then he changed and took chances etc. now he’s winning

Correlation does not equal causation
Sure, but OP was just pointing out that there’s a ton of successful coaches that had big time issues in year 1. The parallels run both ways, and it’s not out of the question that Mario figures things out.

How many of those losses were against a team that particular coach's team was favored to beat by 25 points? (which I believe was the spread for UM against MTSU).

And Bill Gates is a college dropout so if you’re a college dropout you can still become the richest person on earth

Ive said from day 1. Win the Coastal or the season is a fail. It’s still there, until its not.
