They were telling the truth ...

There are guys who flash in a scrimmage or a week of practice, or maybe a spring, and then flop in games. I get it.

But the guys who are consistently delivering in practice- Toney, Bryce Fitzgerald, OJ Frederique before that- are almost always the guys who will be making plays in the games.

The key to Toney’s success is that he is an extremely consistent player in all facets.
Loves the game as well. Super young man who in a good way is never satisfied with what he does.

Watching the replay with Toney fielding punts, I recall PTSD from past Canes players fielding punts. I don't have PTSD with Toney fielding punts.
at all ... it's so relaxed ... and again, he's a RECLASS frosh ... crazy

To me, it's interesting Baby Jesus seems to be a true hero for the younger kids in the area. I can't recall seeing this much adoration for a player. A true local hero. Absolutely will help recruiting.

I want some credit too, haha! Here's my write-up following the spring game:

Toney was the star. That catch from Nickel was sick. Go on the 305sports insta. They got a ridiculous angle of the catch. He had another catch over the middle for a catch and run TD. @DMoney gets some flak here for hyping up freshmen who then don't get a lot of run but I don't see how Toney doesn't get a lot of reps this year. Not sure how you keep him off the field. Kid seems natural and has that So Fla athletic arrogance.

@DMoney This is what makes me feel JoJo is going to be really good when he gets in finally. he was always talked about during practices.

When those highlights came out of Mali mauling DBs vs UF in run pro that’s when I really knew.

A night in which it was clear the passing game wasn’t going to be there, we watched a teenager bully men 3 to 4 years older than him. It’s 100% every play.

He and Bain are prime examples of the recruiting losses that were killing us for two decades, and neither was a “5 star”.
This is true. I mean, I was super worried fsu was gonna steal Bain when I saw norvell shout “he’s back!” Three times and then give a perfectly executed shoulder rub. Thank god we have Mario

Huge indicator into a WR’s makeup. How do they play when they know they aren’t getting the ball? Do they relish the opportunity to block and put somebody on their ***? If yes, then dawg.

It also shows a dude’s mentality when it comes to NFL hopes because that’s the type of **** that NFL scouts drool over

As coaches are apt to remind: "You play like you practice"

he was grown manning them dbs for uf and i believe he had JUST turned 18 at the time

It should also be noted that Lofton who was coming back from an injury has looked a lot better in the last two games than the first 3. Think we’re starting to see why he was getting a lot of hype too
