Once this hit the media, the University had no choice. As it is Miami is on probation so to assume the NCAA didn't have any knowledge would be absolutely wrong. They went to outside counsel and they talked with the NCAA. Guarantee you if they thought they could suspense these kids for a part of the season then they most likely would have gone this route. These kids have nobody to blame but themselves. We're not talking about food money. They are kids and kids make stupid decisions sometimes. They both screwed themselves because they would have thrived in this defense. They both needed this season. It's not like the NFL draft committee was screaming for both of these kids in projections. This cost them both potentially a lot of money. We move on.

So many Miami fans on this site all of a sudden have a hard on for the same bogus system thats proven to have a bias against the UM fb program from the NCAA to the school itself. Hilarious to me how you all can be so fake so easily lol

What I find funny is all the "administrators" here that without any skin in the game act all tough and just say "F U ncaa we will do what we want".
As if there were no repercussions as if we could just go be independent of the ncaa.
If any administration actually acted like these people wanted them too UM football would have disappeared long ago.

Probably the same folks who watched those dopey Billy Corbin 30-30s about the UM and think we need to go
back to the old days of figuratively pointing the middle finger at everybody (which we didn't, but in their minds...).
 
These few kids are NOT the difference between 10-2 and 7-5. Brad Kaaya, sure. These guys? No way. They knew they were doing wrong and they got what they deserved. Sure, I wish other schools were forced to kick kids off that got benefits, as that would level the playing field in a **** hurry. That's not happening, so our kids simply need to keep their noses clean. It's not hard to do the right thing, it's really not. No one put a gun to their heads and told them they had to use those cars for free. This is ALL on them, not UM, the NCAA, or Coach Richt.

I wasn't going into this season thinking we were going to win games 17-14.
I was thinking more of the 38-27 variety.

Teams change year to year, but I only see 3 teams on our schedule who were in the top 40 in scoring D in 2015.

I rooted for AQM to succeed, big time. He and Grace are gone now.

Likely all of this is a game or two if you just tell the truth. Seriously? What age were we when our parents told us to tell the truth and it will be less painful? 3rd or 4th grade? The cover up is always worse than the crime. After the lie, does anything else really matter?
