They need to fire Manny now

But the scary perspective is this, the dude actually might be still around because the school is putting it all in on mario

if mario says no, there's your answer as to why they're keeping manny around. Because he's going NO WHERE, unless cribby has something to say otherwise.

Hopefully we've gone beyond the option of him staying anymore. And every kid he's recruiting knows we're trying to land Mario by now

or what? lol

literally OR WHAT should be the school's answer, you gonna quit and go be an analyst at georgia southern? STFU
We don’t have any Coaches. If Manny refuses to coach without a raise and extension then who will coach next year? If Mario says no, manny has a tremendous amount of leverage.

The school could hire you and it'd be an upgrade, what does manny bring to the table?

The school will be in desperation mode if Mario says no. Hopefully Manny’s agent does well by his client and sticks it to UM. All is fair in love and war.

Desperation mode? We have an extremely viable candidate who is openly campaigning for the job - doesn’t sound like desperation mode to me.

clearly Frenk runs a tight ship and that’s refreshing.

1) it was stated publicly that Manny’s future would be decided by the new AD.

2) this is a new era of CFB Lincoln Riley was on a zoom call on Norman Ok, at 5:00am Sunday and by Monday he was in LA. Brian Kelly broke up with his team via Apple Note #RespectMyDecision and neither requested permission to interview or let their AD know.

If Manny has decided to stay on, collect checks and recruit as if he will be here thats his personal choice.

Even if mario says yes. We still have to hire a AD and fire manny. We should of fired manny and named a interim coach.

Its a ******* ****show and looks classless as ****.

We all know his time is up and regardless of how happy we are to see him go, the way this has been handled is embarrassing and absolutely classless. It serves absolutely no purpose to have him employed right now.

with the media circus, there is absolutely no way he is retained and even so it would dominate headlines for the next year or anytime they lose a game.

we better hope Mario says yes because at this rate, we're going to be struggling to find anyone of our expectations to even want to be a part of this crap show.

it's bad enough losing games, having the university dragged through the media AGAIN over and over is enough, Frenk needs to grow a pair

I think the media circus would be worse if they would have fired him, and then we would all be waiting for the next AD and HC. Who cares about the media.

Manny isn't an indentured servant. He's free to resign at any time without needing our sympathy. But he won't because he's not Richt and isn't leaving a dime on the table. So the strategy of getting every last penny due to him can free you guys from sobbing for how he's being "wronged".

Plenty of guys would crawl naked through broken glass to coach at UM and be paid $5-8M a year.

Manny deserves everything he's getting. Dip**** torpedoed the Highsmith hire b/c he thought he was the smartest guy in the room.

The fact the Manny has not been fired yet, tells me that an agreement has already been reached with Mario. This way Mario can coach his final game with less distractions and conjecture . It allows his team to remain more focused.

And bet on himself as defensive coordinator to boot.

If Mario says no, and I was Diaz’a agent, I would literally ask for An extension and raise for being put thru this circus.
When has a school kept a coach and so openly courted another coach?
F**k him and his agent then. He can walk if he doesn't like and free up that money. No real canes fan gives two flying f**ks what Manny wants or how he feels at the moment.

I thought there was 0% chance of this happening when it was told to me by someone who works with cbssports off the record, but now I don’t know anymore. Basically I was told that Manny would be willing to stay on as DC if a head coach was willing to take him on, also couldn’t imagine that happening. I still think it’s unlikely.

The problem is that his brand as a DC has been so damaged these past 2 years.
