These people belong in jail

The Domers should be discussed in this because this board hands them out free passes like candy. Their schedule was a joke, they are alwaysssssss overrated by this board and beyond and they get to follow their own rules and are somehow considered exempt from the global rules.
They weren't a top four team last year and they aren't this year....it's just BS agenda saying otherwise imo.
They shouldn't be allowed to partake in CFP as an independent period. Join a conference or GTFO.

Ohio State shouldn't have been in the playoffs. They lost to Oregon, lost to Michigan, and didn't even play in the conference title game. When the regular season is the eliminator, that should be enough to knock them out of contention.

But in retrospect, those games were meaningless. The 12-team playoff neuters the regular season.

The eventual national champion not being included if there was a different model is pretty **** good evidence that an expanded playoff was necessary.

The regular season was just as exciting as any other.

The only things that mess up the playoff model at 12 (or 16 even )are the weird seedings which is being corrected, and the autobid power grab.

I'm good to sit at 12, but 4 was an awful number. Really don't need to expand to 16 especially if it comes with more autobids.

If Notre Dame is the sole issue, put them in a conference. I’m not too concerned about them getting in the playoffs in this scenario because they went 11-1 and were clearly one of the four best teams.
The issue is there are these kinds of examples regularly. It’s a multi-billion dollar industry that is decided by subjective criteria that has media conglomerates pushing narratives all day every day.

2024 Notre Dame
2023 the whole Alabama FSU thing
2022 may be the cleanest year, I personally think Utah was a better team than Clemson that year but I’m not passionate about it
2021 ND would’ve been in over Baylor and OK State, OK State was 11-1 with a win over Baylor before the conference championship game where Baylor beat them, meanwhile Notre Dame sat home and jumped Ok State.

I’m not gonna keep going. Some people are dead set that somehow 4 is the perfect number based on… feelings I guess? I’m more open to continuing to improve things to level the playing field and remove as much subjectivity as possible.
