I've been strongly supportive of Mario's vision for this program since he arrived.

The loss yesterday burns all of the 2025 off-season goodwill. It resets the team's on-field progress to the end of 2023. The whole health of the program is markedly improved since 2021, but the game is played for wins- and on that front there is a miserable mismanagement of resources.

Whatever mitigating circumstances existed at Oregon for Cristobal and Georgia for Beck, it appears that their critics have been vindicated.

It will be enormously difficult for the Hurricanes to escape the unwitting self-sabotage coming out of the head coach.

Mario has had the biggest budget in the ACC for 4 years and (dumb people will disagree) he had more talent than all but maybe 2 teams when he initially took over.

Even with that massive advantage, he gets butt****ed by random ACC teams. He literally does less with more than maybe any coach in the country. He's a ****** coach, always has been and always will be.

FSU spent a lot of money, just not the right guys.

I gave you two examples right in our state. There are several others.
FSU did not spend the money we spent. I would trade places with Florida this second if I could. This school wasted over 100 million dollars to be UVA with significantly worse academics. Feel free to spend your day finding the one off exceptions to the rule and ignoring the obvious main point of the post.

I kept believing the hype but also kept bringing up it that it will be SHOW ME IN NOVEMBER, otherwise all of it is bs, and boom, here we are.

With less resources, I would have taken Lashlee at the helm here at this point. Mario is through and through a meat head that doesn't understand strategy. Talent vs talent matters, but for **** Sake, we get schooled by all these **** head coaches who were former coordinators. Mario couldn't call one side of the O or D if he had to just rely on that for a game.

This is who we are and will be. I keep trying to believe, but this is pure stupidity.

LOL - you're the one coming up with one off exceptions. UF has the hardest schedule every single year and has underperformed since Tebow left almost 20 years ago. They aren't a better situation.

These teams all have massive football budgets and also have large NIL that have performed ******.

People act like the 2022 season wasn't terrible coaching, but it was a sign of things to come. That team should've at minimum been in a bowl game.

We went 7-5 the year before with largely the same roster (except at WR). We had 4 NFL players in the secondary and yet had terrible pass defense.

The perfect storm of circumstances the guy apparently needs just to get to the ACCCG is astonishing

I said last year if Mario couldn’t win with that team, then he can’t win here and here we are, another season knowing full well we won’t win with him as the coach, but also knowing he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon

Not a good place to be

South Carolina, Nebraska, Clemson, FSU, Missouri, Arkansas do not spend what we have. The only two ACC schools you have on this list are dead wrong and notoriously do not spend on their rosters. In the Mario Era, a handful of these teams have been in the CFP. Enjoy the rest of the season. Hopefully Mario can get revenge against Mighty Syracuse next weekend. Maybe he can read your thread on adjustments to make.

I said it when he got hired, and I will say it again, Mario is an average coach who will produce average teams.
