The one bull**** part of this is the benefit ND received from beating Pitt while we were playing a dud and now this week when the roles are reversed we won’t see the reciprocal gain. Such garbage.
This is what it should have been entering this week or the week prior. Now it's not going to happen thoughIt’s really simple if the committee wasn’t already bought and in the pockets of certain teams ($ec & ND)..
8. Oklahoma
9. Miami
10. ND
11. Bama
12. BYU
This way, Bama and BYU can both play their way in with wins without having to drop them from the playoffs with losses. If both win, ND and Miami are out. If only one wins, ND is out.
That’s the most practical way… and I even say that loosely because I don’t think Oklahoma belongs AT ALL!
Nope. Bama losing doesn’t mean they’re out. UVA gonna take 11th. Miami needs to get to 10th in order to get in and that is not happening.
Even if it is a “good loss”? Asking for a friend…On this, we respectfully disagree.
There must be consequences for losing. You cannot lose and hold your spot. It's un-American.
It's loss #3 with at least 1 deserving team left outEven if it is a “good loss”? Asking for a friend…
JS you lose to the 17th ranked team and drop two. Do you drop off you are the 10 and lose to the 4. I believe Miami should be 8 or higher so I'm not arguing for this just pointing out the logic the committee will likely use if questioned when they **** usAnd? It wasn't some huge upset.
Teams that win go up. Teams that lose go down. This is how life works.
It's funny that the 1st tiebreaker in SEC, B1G, Big 12, NFL division winner, NFL wildcard, and just about any other sport is......head-to-head. MLB is head-to-head. NBA is head-to-head. Even college basketball is head-to-head first.
But for the college football playoffs their narrative changes to....well who has the better losses?
It may be irrelevant if UGA doesn't handle business anyways but I think they are out if UGA wins on anything other than a last second field goal or something.I agree with absolutely every word of this other than “they aren’t guaranteed to get in.”
The committee doesn’t care about the eye test with SEC teams, all they care about is protecting specific brands.
Oklahoma making the playoff this year is a total travesty.
Would love to be wrong, but unless they do the right thing and swap us with Notre Dame, it’s over. And I have almost zero faith they do it.
They’re already spinning it on espn. Bama and UGA would be 1-1 on H2H. Also, if Bama keeps it close, forget about it. No way Bama gets left out.On this, we respectfully disagree.

Like maybe a head to head record where one team is ranked higher than the other having already lost to said team? The committee has already given you the field if you listen to the talking heads... much like FSU getting booted years ago. They are not bouncing the SEC #1 seed for playing in a bonus game they would have made playoff without playing. BYU is different as they're currently not in so a loss can drop them. If they dropped bama then conference title games as a whole would be upended. No shot. If bama is still 10 tomorrow night then thats that.On this, we respectfully disagree.

If TT and UGA both win, Alabama will be ii. playoff.
Sadly, I think you’re right. If TT and UGA both win, Alabama will be in the playoff.

Did any conference game loser drop a spot last year ?Like maybe a head to head record where one team is ranked higher than the other having already lost to said team? A 3 loss bama making it over Miami or ND would be the biggest injustice yetHard to imagine a 9-3 Bama that gets dominated in the SECCG not budging even a spot, I simply can’t see it I could be wrong. If we somehow jump BYU to 11 that scenario would be our only hope..we can forget about the ND bs we got hoed there it is what it is that angle is dead
They are paid actors they don't believe thatThey’re already spinning it on espn. Bama and UGA would be 1-1 on H2H. Also, if Bama keeps it close, forget about it. No way Bama gets left out.
