MEGA There’s Still Hope for the ACCCG/CFB Playoffs Mega Merge Thread

Kiffin setting fire to all of the goodwill he's built up the last few years.

What a ****.
Why? He could recruit a guy for 5 years, pay him 7 figures, develop him, and then have to bid against other teams just to keep him the next year. It just so happens that coaching positions change during the season, so if he wants to move he has to leave his team. If it’s a business for the “kids,” then it’s a business for the coaches. There is no loyalty any longer in this game.

F#cking convoluted ACC championship game rules. If simply included be in the AP poll or playoff rank as a metric like serious conferences we win ACC championship and are in the playoffs.

How it should be. Miami would be in if we used the same metrics. But it's too logical for this trash conference.

Cos he rebuilt his career at Ole Miss and became likeable again.

Now he's abandoning them during a Playoff run, shafting the players and shafting Ole Miss because all the big HC hires have already been made.

It's been a business for coaches for quite some time now. The "kids" are just finally catching up.

The irony that 2 of the poorest states in the country are fighting it out for the right to make Lane Kiffin the highest paid coach in the country is awesome.

Expect more SEC shill BS instead of addressing that BOTH Miami and ND should be in over OU and Bama

Don’t think so. Like every person who has played competitive sports, he thinks head to head should be the determining factor.

FSU does NOT have a "lowered exit fee". In fact, the exit fee went up for everyone.
Yeah, that's just not true.

"As a result of the settlement, the penalty to leave the conference has been significantly reduced. The grant of rights remains in place through 2036, but beginning next year, the exit fee will be $165 million. That fee then declines by $18 million per year, leveling at $75 million in 2030-31."

Although it looks like the fee was lowered for everyone, and not just FSU and Clemson.

Moved up one spot in the AP to 12.

Why no one is giving the AP voters heat for doing the exact same thing the committee is doing is beyond me.

Everyone already knows the AP is bull****. That idiot AP voter who said she didn’t even watch games spilled the beans. What little credibility the AP still had is gone. The committee was supposed to sort through that BS and pick the most deserving teams.
