MEGA There’s Still Hope for the ACCCG/CFB Playoffs Mega Merge Thread

Anyone see the Love injury? is it serious? If he is out 6-8 weeks he would miss the playoffs and be good for the combine which would trigger the FSU rule of being a different team bc their star got injured?
They will list day to day until the final rankings.

Just in case anyone thinks our win today will be considered by the committee. We beat Stanford 42-7 and ND is already up 28. You know they are going to run up the score. We’ll say we beat Pitt by more and they will just say we beat Stanford by more. Our win today will be totally meaningless.

Oklahoma and bama did not look like playoff teams. Utah beat KState but we jumped them anyways because of how they played. VT was never going to win. 3 win team without a HC on the road. They quit on the season already. If the committee is consistent (it won’t be) we jump Oklahoma and bama. No team that lost to fsu should be in the playoff picture.

Pitt and NC State are better teams and we beat them by more. Syracuse and Stanford margin are not moving the needle.

Except they are running it up on awful teams that are checked out. We ran it up on a team playing for something. Not that it will matter. Committee has its mind made up and had for a month.

Except that Pittsburgh is a much better team. Who cares how many points you run up on a 4-7 Stanford team.

That’s what I was saying when I saw them lining up for the kick. He had time to get a bit closer. They still had one timeout. Terrible clock management by Lashlee, who is usually great at game management.
They had to use their final timeout to avoid a 10-second runoff after that false start, so they had none.

The committee rules...I know I know they won't follow them...say you take the outcomes of common opponent games without factoring margin of victory.

Nd and us have exact same records and common opponent outcomes.

H2H is ALL that is left.

That’s if we’re in the same grouping. Which they completely made up

Win + SMU loss + DUKE loss + UVA win + NCSU win + BC win + Finish higher than GT & SMU in SportSource Analytics ranking

all we needed was one more Duke loss. it was that close. everything else went our way!

Joey Galloway is offering unlimited blowies behind the Applebees in Irving, TX for the entire month of December for anyone on the committee willing to snub the Canes.

Curious to see the metrics that the committee relies on after this weekend (strength of record etc). They were in notre dames favor before and they used that as justification to say we weren't equal and therefore the head to head wasnt relevant. That may not be the case anymore.

every year there are 2 specific games that we cannot lose and every year with absolute precision we manage to lose them
And every year there is one team that rises out of nowhere to get to the ACC title game. Without fail.

Last year it was SMU. This year it is Duke. Next year it will be a Sanford, or Wake, or Cal, or Va Tech.

Miami will always finish a smidge out in second place. It almost never fails.

I paid more for lower bowl tickets to Miami @ GTech last year for similar seating.
