So if we beat Pitt, and VaTech beats Virginia then we're in the ACCCG by way of common opponent tie breaker?

That’s two weeks ago. No longer relevant.

It’s simple now, beat Pitt, UVA loses. We play SMU in ACCCG.

Duke has 2 ACC loses and no wins against the tiebreaker teams. They are out if the first two above occur.
why would we hold tiebreaker over GT? or duke?

What Miami needs

Miami (5-2 ACC)

A win vs Pitt
AND
A loss by Duke
AND EITHER
a loss by SMU (to Cal) OR Virginia (to Virginia Tech). Doesn’t matter which, just need one of them to lose.

Why do we need all the ACC teams to have 2 loses?

What happens if SMU has 1 loss but everybody else has 2? Or if UVA has 1 loss and everybody else has 2?

The more teams that are tied, the harder it is for "common opponents" to be the tiebreaker, and then the Commissioner can pick.

It is not from weeks ago, the article is 3 days ago.

So again, I am not disputing your scenario.

I am asking you if the scenario i referenced from CBS occurs, is it not accurate?

Miami beats Pitt
UVA beats Va Tech
Wake beats Duke
Cal beats SMU

If that happens, and there is a four way tie, are you saying the CBS article is wrong? I am not arguing but you aren’t giving me a straight answer. Who goes in that scenario?

not doubting it just there's like 10 different things floating out there and its hard to tell who knows what is legit

First tie breaker is communal H2H, then common opponent. Only us, Pitt and SMU have relevant communal H2H. We beat Pitt, we have better communal H2H and better common opponent.
