MEGA There’s Still Hope for the ACCCG/CFB Playoffs Mega Merge Thread

we're gonna need more than that

we'd jump Texas and we may jump vandy (or vandy still has Tennessee anyways)

but that's not nearly enough to get int eh playoffs and a lot of these teams play cupcakes the last few games
Georgia will beat Georgia Tech.
Pittsburgh may beat Georgia Tech.
LSU could beat Alabama

We still have weeks to go.

there is no auto bid for the acc champ. they can take the highest rated acc team which they believe to be miami no matter what if we win out
There’s no auto bid for any conference champ. The top 5 rated conference champs make it. Just winning the conference doesn’t guarantee it, but it’s highly unlikely the SEC, BIG, ACC and Big 12 champs aren’t the 4 highest rated and the AAC or Sun Belt make it.

that's not even close to accurate

they take the top 5 conference champs.. with duke out and USF losing today, the ACC champ will be one of the top 5 ranked conference champions

which means the ACC champ is in

our only hope is getting in as an at large which means the ACC would get two teams which seems like a hard pull
not necessarily. if UVA won the aCC they wouldn't put them over the highest rated acc at large in miami bc its depending on where the committee ranks. youre eligible for an AQ by only winning a conf title but not guaranteed an AQ

What other conference champ would get in over UVA??

USF losing today and UVA and GT winning pretty much solidified the ACC champ being one of the 5 highest

you just need to win the conf to qualify for an AQ but say UVA won it, theyre not getting ranked ahead of miami at 10-2 w a miami top 10 win over ND

you're talking very confidently for someone who doesn't know what they are talking about my friend

Where Alabama is ranked will tell us everything. Last year it was above us and BYU.

We’ll see where they end up this time. Could be as high as above BYU; could be as low as below UVA. Us and UVA beat FSU who Alabama lost to. Will it matter? Probably not, but goddam it should

currently bama still has the tie breaker over uga I believe for the sec spot so it would be atm vs bama right now
Even better , bama loss means

UGA, Texas am. Ou, miss

No one 10-3 bama gets in with a common opponent that we beat and they lost to

“12 teams will be selected to the Playoff field, with the selection committee's five highest-ranked conference champions earning automatic bids. These five highest-ranked conference champions are in regardless of where they rank in the top 25, even if they're not in it”
