After today I take it back lol. USC wins after the way we played you and @OrangeBowlMagic are likely right. We had momentum and media backing , not sure we do any more

We really need Kansas State and Cincinnati to do a number on the big 12 teams and then hope next week that Auburn can beat Alabama

Entering this week:

SOS: Miami 46th, USC 30th = Edge USC, And this oregon game is going to give them a big boost here
GameControl: Miami 19.5, USC 16.5 = Edge Miami,
T25Wins: Miami 2, USC 2 = Tie, but USC is going to get another if they win this.
QualityWins: Miami 2, USC 4.

There is no chance USC doesn't jump us this week if they win imo.

Utah and BYU:
SOS: BYU 45, Utah 50
GC: BYU 16.3, Utah 25.5
T25W: BYU 1, Utah 1
QW: BYU 5, Utah 2

Literally the ONLY reason we aren't ahead of Utah this weak is the game control metric. And the reason BYU is clearly ahead of Utah is they are similarly graded in SOS, but they have the H2H and more QW. However USC and US both would have better SOS than BYU AND would have better GC. I think theres a lot of stuff on the surrounding that can go into it to make us jump Utah/BYU even without them losing. But we probably need AT LEAST BYU to lose. I think if we beat Pitt next week we probably jump Utah no matter what. BYU could be a different story. I think we definitely need BYU to lose no matter what. So all eyes on Cinci beating BYU.

Alabama and ND:
SOS: ND 33, Bama 21
GC: ND 20.1, Bama 13.8
T25W: ND 2, Bama 3
QW: ND 4, Bama 5.

Unfortunately both have a better resume than us. Bama will have the worst loss of any team in this discussion with FSU, but we'd have 2nd worst with Louisville. But USC lost to ND, so no matter what they will not jump THAT far to the point they could jump them. So USCs ceiling is behind ND. Comparing resumes I don't think we will ever jump Bama. However if we can cross BYU/UTah then the committee will consider us and ND. Which should put us ahead of them....

Basically I think it BYU and Oregon lose, it'll go:

7 OU - 8 Bama - 9 Miami - 10 ND - 11 USC - 12 Oregon...
