If Martell is declared eligible, I will be shocked. When has the NCAA ever done anything that helped Miami? The answer is NEVER, and I'm almost certain that they will find a way to keep Martell off the field for 2019. Go ask Dewan Hernandez about the NCAA and how they deal with Miami.
The Hernandez situation is in no way similar to the Martell situation. This is honestly such a weak take and I keep seeing people on here going with it.

"The NCAA adjusted its policy last spring to make it easier for transferring athletes to find an immediate path to the playing field. The new rules state that a player can be granted a waiver to play right away if he can show "documented mitigation circumstances" that the change of schools was made to better impact his "health, safety and well-being.""

This sound easy to prove if his lawyer is a step up from Vinny Gambini. Well-being....$hit, that should be a lay up.

Since HEALTH is a reason anyone should be able to transfer to Miami at any moment.... https://www.local10.com/news/local/miami/miami-is-healthiest-city-in-the-us-study-says

What was the reason Justin fields got immediate eligibility? Tate should have a easier path because of the urban Meyer chit show

Urban Meyer's suspension will be cited in Martell's waiver. In addition Zach Smith was Tate's primary recruiter @ OSU. As everyone knows Smith was accused by his wife of domestic abuse, and accepted a misdemeanor plea deal this past Oct, that also awarded his wife a 3 yr protection order. In my opinion there is no way in hell his waiver is not approved.

Good mitigating circumstances. It's a wrap.

According to the NCAA website, one of the anticipated changes that will be approved for 2019 football season is granting immediate eligibility without even having to submit a waiver to the NCAA......... it's this simple;
"the student-athlete’s head coach at the original institution resigned or was fired during or after the most recent season of competition, except that the student-athlete is not immediately eligible at another institution at which the head coach is employed" You can't deny Martell's waiver if this change is already part of the new transfer rules....even if it hasn't been instituted yet. So maybe they are waiting for a vote, so it can be approved and the NCAA does not even have to rule?

According to Yahoo Sports, Fields asked for a waiver of the one-year waiting period to play after transferring due to a racist incident directed at him while at Georgia. Georgia baseball player Adam Sasser, who was subsequently dismissed, reportedly directed a racial slur at Fields last fall during a Georgia Football game.

Someone at UGA got drunk and said the N word at Fields (who grew up in Georgia)

IIRC Fields’s sister is also an athlete at UGA

his feelings were hurt. someone called him a name that he didn't even hear. as a snowflake, words really got to him and he just couldn't deal with the insensitivity of the Georgia fans

and Smith was also said to have used racially inflammatory language towards a certain receiver who recently transferred to UF.

Actually, it's not irrelevant how much money his family has. It's his family that's paying for the lawyer that's going to get him the waiver. Sounds pretty relevant to me.
Right... lawyers always help! The more money you have the better lawyers you have. Having money is always relevant.
