maybe this banner does nothing at other "football powers", but it definitely has an affect at UM. Unfortunately, the administration has shown they do not care about winning. They are always forced into reactionary moves after taking hits to their wallet and image. If we had Nebraska's fan base that sells out every game regardless of wins or losses, we would be stuck with Al Golden until 2020. Here, its win or GTFO. If you're not winning or trying to fix obvious deficiencies (the entire coaching staff), then your stadium will be empty, banners will fly and donations will come to a halt. This is the only language the UM admin understands.

The U, and the football team, do not exist in a vacuum. There are consequences for poor results, and indifference. Obviously, the "peasants" have had their fill, for a multitude of reasons. The administration gains nothing by seemingly ignoring the sincere pleas of the "peasants". Regardless, the vitriol and orange-out will continue to escalate.

The glorious BANNER is just another burning log underneath the Hot Seat. If you weren't feeling its heat, you would not have commented.
