Great write-up Pete.

Why is Guy Thomas listed as attending SJB Academy in Miami on 247sports? Never heard of that hs before. And I'm curious.

Saint Jean Baptiste Leadership Academy is a school started by Mike Tunsil and Jon "Genron" Drummond. Thomas did not transfer there as was rumored

So ole Slave Trader Seller of Men got his our boat, I mean school now?

Wow. I'd really hate to hear what you'd call these universities and the ncaa.

You wanna know what really makes Coley look slappy?

Not last year's offense, the offense before that!

Duke (all-time leading rusher at UM)
Hurns (NFL starter, leading rookie receiver)
Dorsett (1st round pick)
Flowers (1st round pick)
Feliciano (4th round pick)
Linder (NFL starter)
Henderson (NFL starter)
Walford (3rd round pick)

LMAO^

There's offenses with half that talent that **** on our production.

Well they were 7-0 going into the FSU game where they lost Duke for rest of the year. That had lost Dorsett 2 games prior against UNC.

With Dallas Crawford at RB and hobbled Morris at QB we lost 4 of the last 6. We had a great OL that year but all the skilled positions were injured except for Hurns who had a breakout season and Walford who was not that much of a factor. Morris had no mobility and did not check down enough to help keep drives alive. Had Duke not of gotten injured I think we could have gone 11-2 that year instead of 9-4.

Duke (all-time leading rusher at UM) - injured against FSU and lost for the rest of the season.
Hurns (NFL starter, leading rookie receiver) - injured in last games against Louisville
Dorsett (1st round pick) - hurt during game 6 against UNC, non factor rest of season
Flowers (1st round pick)
Feliciano (4th round pick)
Linder (NFL starter)
Henderson (NFL starter)
Walford (3rd round pick) - was very average in 2013, Morris did not utilize his TEs.
Hurricane Warrior: I see what you did there, but your argument is a little broken. Allow me to shed a little more clarity to the smoke and mirror act of 2013:

-The Canes started 7-0 against opponents with a combined winning pct of .405 not including playing a FCS school. The last 6 opponents had a combined winning pct of .670 and the only two wins in the last 6 games came against a 2-10 UVA school and a 7-6 Pitt school.

-Mr. Morris never gained his groove under Coley. Before the FSU game, he was at 1,381 on 61% completion with 9 TDs and 8 ints against FBS opponents. In 2012, again 7 games before the FSU game, Morris was at 1,991 on 58% completion with 9 TDs and 5 ints against FBS opponents

-When Miami played against their opponents who had just as crappy of a defense as them (avg. 63rd), they racked up yards and had a +.300 rate on 1st down per number of possession (fantastic). However, when Miami played defenses that were in the top 30 (avg. 27---the exception was when they struggled against an 88th defense in Wake Forest) they struggled mightily moving the ball, and gaining 1st downs at a -.290 rate per number of possession

-Duke was healthy against UF and he struggled tremendously; namely b/c UF boasted a top 5 defense. Before the ankle injury, Duke was struggling against FSU as well...again, a top 5 defense.

I'm not conviced that with a healthy Duke and Dorsett we still wouldn't have fizzled out. The back end of the schedule was a lot tougher than the front end. The UF victory was due more to them having a crappier QB than we did, but if you look at those stats, they DOMINATED us in every category except TO's. We couldn't move the ball against them.

It took a heroic effort from Crawford to beat UNC and it took a heroic effort from Duke to beat Wake at the end of the game, so there were already tale-tell signs of this team not being that great before going against FSU. Hence, we got waxed and exposed by them, and Golden's legacy of beating lowly teams, while getting stomped by good teams, remained on par.

Wow. I'd really hate to hear what you'd call these universities and the ncaa.

The schools and ncaa actually give the kids something of value in exchange, unlike Slave Trader who just takes the green. But since you asked, let's see, kids get housed, fed and clothed and in exchange work in fields for the universities. Sounds a little like Slave Owners. As to the ncaa, well the make the rules for and oversee the entire process so I have to go with Federal Government.

Granted the players might be more indentured servants and there could be pot of gold at end of service, but "Genron" is the only one peddling flesh for a living. The schools use but do not resell his product.

Slave owners (universities) in cahoots with the federal government (ncaa) using but not reselling indentured servants (players). Now, this is ok. Only the slave trader (Genron) resells indentured servants to competing slave owners. Like an auction block! Only in America!

Pete "I don’t buy into Greentree hype easily" Ariz predicted Chad Thomas would have 10 sacks last year. Lol.

Whatchu got on Djoku, Reezy?

He's ready to make an impact. I like the tight ends group a lot. None of them are Clive but they can all play a role.

Djoku's issue last year was the playbook. Brad loves him

Its a shame 2 giant scumbags are allowed to further prey on SFL athletes and their families.

Since Pete alluded to it in his post, it bears repeating that first-round pick Phillip Dorsett touched the ball just 3 times per game last season. Easy to overlook that alarming stat with the overall ineptitude of our coaching staff, but that's an embarrassment.

Just one of the MANY issues I have with Coley. Using certain guys, with certain traits, in the wrong way was another huge issue.

Let me repeat it very clearly...Coley is pound for pound just as bad at what he does as Golden and Onfrio. All 3 are an abomination and all 3 need to go. I'm seeing more and more people defending Coley, the OC. Coley, the OC, is at best a below average play caller.

We also ran very few plays, I think we were in the bottom 10 in the NCAA. Golden's genius plan to save his defense. Playmakers all over the feed on offense and we decide its a good idea to shorten the game and milk the clock.

I've heard this a million times and I believe it less and less as every day passes. All 3 of them share in the incompetence. There's a reason FSU didn't want him just like there's a reason Temple fans weren't exactly killing themselves when Golden left.

Even in the games where we trailed or have been in relative shoot outs...the playcalling, scheming, half time adjustments, and down/distance decisions have been an ABOMINATION.

There's zero defense for Coley IMO. His hands are just as dirty in this mess as Golden and Onfrio's. All 3 need to go.

I see 27 lines of excuses and Don Bailey Jr attempting to hide his alias.

Give it up homeboy. There's no defense, excuses, or rationale as to why Golden/Coley/Onfrio were ever employed. There's even less explanation for how they CONTINUE to employed after a 7 loss season in Golden's FOURTH full year.

One year they were saying we lost because Duke broke his leg. This past year they are saying its Duke's fault we lost hahaha. These Al Foldenites have no shame
