This fan base is full of clowns. Not one coach on this staff has got a elite recruit except for coach kool. Yet rumph gets a bunch of **** because a few people get up here and said he was hired for recruiting.

You dont hire a guy at a important position like corners just to recruit.

Why else would you a hire a guy with no college or NFL experience at coaching DB's?

From what I understand Rumph had consistently impressed coaches at camps with his knowledge and ability to coach DBs. Factor in the fact he was an All-American and first round draft pick as a CB and there's really no issue with hiring him to coach. Sometimes recruiting comes second. If he can get his secondary to perform well, recruits will notice the results.

I hear you dycane but RIcht doesnt know Rumph from a can of beans...he met him a few times crooting Sony & Isaiah Mckenzie and a few camps thats probably it/ YOu think Saban hired Cristobal cause he was a great OL coach?? Naw it was for crootin, same reason Tennesee hired Lary Scott and GEorgia hired our OC they all wanted inroads into SFL.... Your right on one thing though RUmph talk has gotten outta hand this will be my last post on him unless we lose another croot or or his DB's play like ****

Seemingly underqualified guys get hired and paid more than their coaching experience warrants all the time because of recruiting prowess whether that prowess is actualized or not.

Take a look at our OC. He's less qualified than Coley to be an OC, and there's no way in **** his coaching experience or acumen warrants his big salary. He's an incredible recruiter though, so he's worth whatever fake title and huge pay Richt gave him.
