The Work 4-27

He's taller than Morris, not bigger than Morris.

I am fairly confident he weights more than Morris too. Morris probably was 6'2 215 last season. My guess is Kaaya played his senior year at 6'4/6'5 215. He probably put on 5-10 pounds in the off-season working out.

That's not a great guess considering he weighs 230. Just sayin

Well considering I never WEIGHED him or seen him in person, being off by 5-10 pounds is pretty good. Just sayin

Just making a joke that the math didn't add up. But if you have to ask, clearly it wasn't funny. Lol

The point of my post was NOT to get to exactly 230. It was to point out that him coming in at 230 isn't that much of a stretch. Him coming in at 220/225 isn't that far off from where he played last season at.

Morris played less than 210 last year. He was probably close to 205 playing weight. He weighed 208 during senior bowl and put on a bunch of weight for the combines.

Why are y'all worried about Chad? He still hasn't touched a full college lifting and nutrition program. He'll be fine.

I think 245 is good for a kid who's workout regimen consist of push ups and sit-ups... He has very little body fat. However, he's strong and when he gets on campus he'll be exposed to a proper program... I'm not looking for him to make 10+ sacks but I'm looking for him to progressively get eased into the lineup by the end of the year..

us getting outworked by all the elite teams on sheer strength,

countless GIFs of our O line getting judo'd, DBs eating dirt, and our D line getting blown up show that we do NOT have a "proper program."

all it has shown so far is that it puts on weight on players.

How does UM's recruiting at RB for 2015 change if Gray gets the grades?

If Duke leaves after this season and Gray qualifies this season, here is who we have on scholarship for 2015.

Edwards (Jr)
Yearby (So)
Gray (So)
Williams (Fr)
Cronkrite (Fr)

FB: Tucker (Rd-So)

If everyone currently committed signs AND Duke leaves early AND Gray enrolls this year, then you have 6 scholarship RBs (Tucker at FB). If all of the above happens, I wouldn't mind taking one more ELITE RB and possibly moving someone above to another position (at least you have the option). If Duke stays, I would likely pass on another RB.

I don't like our CB recruiting. We're penciling in Tyrek Cole just like we did JC Jackson last cycle.

Who else are we recruiting at CB?

I am sure we will sign 1-2 in this class.

We have good numbers at CB in 2015* (assuming Howard leaves early) before any 2015 kids enroll:

Crawford (Sr),
Burns (Jr),
Elder (Jr),
Dortch (Rd-So),
Hope (Rd-So), and
Mayes (So)

My guess is we're going to go after big time CBs because we have 6 CBs currently on the roster for 2015. I would target probably 7-10 guys and get the best CB or 2 available.

Some names that were mentioned: T. Cole, C. Davis, M. Fitzpatrick, R. Fenton and M. Lewis

*Please note that Ray Lewis III is a DB, I have no idea if he will play CB or S or if he will even play.

Yeah, the numbers may be ok, but you've got 3 unknowns in Mayes, Hope, and Dortch and so far, the last 2 haven't sniffed PT. Elder is coming off an injury and he's a first time player at CB (I love his game, btw). Not as deep as one would think, imo/

Also, not surprised to hear that Williams will be a fight.

In fact, I'm pretty sure I said as much when he committed. He's too talented for the big time programs not to go after.

The reason being is we have one kid (Howard) who isn't letting anyone come from behind to take his spot and another (Gunter) who is pretty good. We have a bunch of names on this list that won't play much till Howard and Gunter leave. Odds are Burns will be a starter in 2015 and possibly Elder. Crawford has had a bunch of reps and I am sure Dortch/Hope will get some burn this season too.

I think we're in good shape at CB, obviously kids like Mayes, Dortch and Hope will need to be developed but there are good names ahead of them CURRENTLY. With all this being said, I would love to grab at least one STUD CB this cycle.

The numbers are good, the QUALITY of the depth is unknown. Start developing, start eliminating the dead weight.
