Rumor The Weather...I'm Shook...SO SHOOOOOOOOK

What are you talking about?

In Miami Gardens from 5 PM to 10 PM the rainfall average per hour is anywhere from .01 inches to .06 inches.

Sure it says thunderstorms possible, but generally, thunderstorms are always possible around the late afternoon into the night in South Florida…. you know what else, all that could miss us anyway.

****’s just getting silly now. Everything’s gonna be OK.
I'm only a professional meteorologist with a B.S. from UM and current PhD candidate. What do I know?

Here is the key:

We need to hope that the tailgates get ****ed -- yes that sucks, but if the heaviest action peaks around 2-3 PM, this acts to "rain out" the atmosphere as a stabilizer. This would be ideal as you would have cloudy light rain conditions for kickoff, but no lightning. Similar to last year's ND and UF games.

Here is the most up-to-date reliable high-res model -- the 18z HRRR outlook for tomorrow. This shows moderate to heavy rain in the area of Miami Gardens from 3 PM - 8 PM give or take an hour on each side.

The question will be all about timing, best case is this moves through early and ruins tailgates but causes limited issues for the game.

Glad some of you can access weather.com to tell me nothing is going to happen!

I'd say there is a 65% chance for a lightning delay based on the afternoon high-res weather model forecast models

yeah that’s what I saw on the last run. Storm pooping right around 6pm that would possibly lead to a delay if it’s slinging lightning.

Hopefully it moves either quicker and gets through or slows down. Current timing is not good

I will provide an update to this thread tomorrow morning or even late tonight when the 00z models come out. All comes down to timing, it's going to rain... heavy with embedded lightning -- we just do not want the USF game again.
