The U vs the fake u 2027 season opener

Any recommendations on where to stay in Vegas? Going once between now and the game and definitely need some advice on that anyway. If it goes well I'd stay in the same place both times.

Been twice.. stayed at Harrah's and Flamingo. Definitely don't want to go to either of those again. Would rather be somewhere cheaper than the Venetian and Bellagio.

One friend is telling me Planet Hollywood and another is telling me Mandalay Bay. Any advice on those 2?

I'm a Caesars guy so Caesars, PH or Paris if looking for step up from Harrah's or Flamingo.

Fun fact I learned from an Uber driver. The South Las Vegas Strip where everyone usually goes when they visit Las Vegas is not part of the Las Vegas city limits. It’s actually part of Paradise an unincorporated part of Clark County. The real Las Vegas is Downtown which is down the Strip on Fremont Street.

Depends on what you’re looking for. PH for location. MB/Delano are nicer hotels IMO with a great pool complex buts it’s the end of the “strip”.

Mandalay Bay is nice as **** but it’s not the best location wise (End of the strip) unless you like walking a lot. I’d recommend staying middle of the strip. Flamingo is a solid option I stayed there May of 2023 and it was great. Room was clean, reasonably priced, and the pool was a blast. I think Paris is reasonably priced too. Stayed there for a night in March before moving to New York New York.

All I could say is **** Planet Hollywood. Everytime I walk in there they rinse my ***. Never stayed there but it’s a cool atmosphere.

Go to Mandalay. It’s older and at the start of the Strip but there’s a walkway that takes you to Allegiant Stadium. The hotel is still good just not new.

If not Mandalay for convenience, I like Cosmopolitan or Aria.

I've stayed at Mandalay Bay a few times over the years. Nice hotel. I love Aria. Not sure how their pricing is compared to Venetian because I always stay there for a conference that gets a group rate. But you will enjoy it if you go. And I hear the Cosmo is pretty good also right next to Aria.

All things being considered. Pool, hotel, location, casino, etc. looking for the total package. Going to a Raiders game for a bachelor party so convenience to Allegiant is important,

Looking like it’s gonna be Mandalay

You’ve got plenty of time to find a good deal at the Venetian tbh

But I do like the one posters suggestion of staying to one end of the strip closer to where the stadium is. I like staying in the middle of the strip when we go just being centrally located, but if you’re mainly going for the game Aria or Mandalay Bay are well located

It probably doesn’t seem like much but location for what you want on the strip is huge. Its a ****ton of walking or horrific Uber fees if you’re trying to get somewhere

Delano. Same property, rooms much nicer.

Utahs coach in waiting is Morgan scalley. He’s been there a while so should be business as usual for Utah. Unless wittingham truly is the savant this site makes him out to be they fall off a cliff without him being the head man
You don't like Whittingham as a coach?

Thinking you could walk everywhere in Vegas is always a funny discussion live....

Cosmopolitan..

I love walking in Vegas. Nothing like strolling the streets, beer in hand, and people watching. Cosmo is awesome. Just don’t go to Secret Pizza…that pizza is booty.
Agreed. We went to Secret Pizza a few months ago... to prove this point...
