If I hear one more analyst bring up facilities and Miami needs this and that, I'm gonna go postal. It's thee single most retarded argument I continue to hear as to why Miami isn't back or why Miami will never be back.

I really want Paul Finebaum to pour himself a nice cold glass of clorox on the rocks and sip slow. Few questions for his dumbass:

Is there some super secret weight bench that Miami doesn't know about that would all of a sudden turn one of our RB's to Leonard Fournette?

Would Miami practicing in an indoor practice facility when it rains turn one of our DL's into Shaq Lawson?

The whole argument about facilities is dumb as ****, as it relates to Miami.

Those are not the reasons Miami isn't playing up to the level of its storied history.

Look at Miami's roster right now, a whole lot of talent and average top 15 recruiting classes and still can't win big games. That has absolutely nothing to do with facilities.

It ALWAYS takes the right coach. That's it.

I'm so glad they came out with the Trojan Horse documentary. USC had facilities galore, their own stadium, mega fan base, mega HS talent throughout Cali and STILL couldn't win games throughout all the late 80's and 90's.

One man came and put USC back on the map and that's all Miami needs, point blank period.

So Paul needs to SHUT THE *** UP forever.

Gold plated 45lb weights arent heavier than rusted iron. Miami boys don't care about that. Just pride to represent their city by hit, stick, and talking ****.

Your point is valid to an extent. We've never had splendid facilities and were able to win with them back then nor will we ever have SEC type facilities. However, with the amount of money in college football these days, the game has changed and to an extent you have to adapt or die. The question is if we have adapted enough and personally think that we have. If the right coach comes in, per your point there is no question that the coach should be able to compete for top talent, with our brand, facilities and track record.

This is others schools way of negative recruiting us before we even hire a new coach, they will continue to run down any flaw they come across

Despite our apparent lack of ideal facilities we've still had enough talent to win (or compete for) the ACC.

We still sent 7 guys to the NFL last year.

South FLA kids aren't going elsewhere due to facilities.

You bring in the right coach...who runs schemes that these kids wanna play in...and wins some games...players will come. (and we'll be back)

As KC Jones once said- Miami has facilities that no else has, a year round supply of hot women walking around the beach in their little bikinis.

It's the weight room that caused Golden to be playing that soft *** paddy cake defense. Why are so many of our players getting drafted ?!? Why oh why. Smh. Why do the pro players come back to work out? They are on the gas man. Best thing to tune them out. ESPN sold out to the SEC having blatantly bias people having segments and commenting on other schools. They started with Lou Holt and ND.

I wish that Cortez or Russell would talk about the facilities they had. Back in the day the weight room was like in a mobile trailer. Mike Irvin used to sneak in a side door of the towers to run stairs. Back in the 80's and 90's Texas and OU had sick facilities in comparison to what we had and it didnt matter.

What matters is to start winning with a coach who knows what F$%king time it is and put asses back in the seats.

Watch what Oregon's splendid facilities do for them from here on out without a real coach.

It takes a coach, it also takes facilities. Really, it just took a guy at USC? Pay attention to your own argument above. Have you been to USC to compare what it has to what we have? They had better then than we have now.

Name a national champ, in the past 10 years, without better facilities than Miami. Name one in 15 years.

2014 Ohio State CFP
2013 Florida State BCS
2012 Alabama BCS
2011 Alabama BCS
2010 Auburn BCS
2009 Alabama BCS
2008 Florida BCS
2007 Louisiana State BCS
2006 Florida BCS
2005 Texas BCS
2004 Southern California BCS
2003 Louisiana State, Southern California BCS, AP, FWAA
2002 Ohio State BCS
2001 Miami (Fla.) BCS
2000 Oklahoma BCS

Take a look at what those schools actually spend on their programs. We are THE outlier, always have been. That is what we love and thrive on. That's what makes the U. It also has real limitation and we've seen that in the last FEW coaching searches.

The reality is that Greentree is legendary...based on what it did 20 years ago. We are now recruiting 16-17 year olds.

Facilities go a long way to selling recruits. They are not the only issue, but they are a very big issue.

One of the first things a real candidate will contractually require is a practice bubble, especially as we have no on campus stadium.

^^^ so why has Miami put the second most players in the NFL since Shannon was hired? LSU has put 1 more player in the league than we have. We have more than Alabama, Oregon, Texas, etc. Sure seems like our facilities are holding us back from a talent perspective.

Michigan didn't magically build new facilities when Harbaugh was hired. They are the same ones Rich Rod failed with and the same ones Hoke failed with. The difference? Harbaugh is actually a good coach. Miami hasn't had a real coach since 2000. That's all they need.

Have you ever heard of the phrase, "Correlation does not mean causation."

Butch Davis isn't particularly worried about the state of the weight room nor the indoor practice facility.

Those programs that won the NC also very likely spent the most on coaches and had the best staffs

And you're dreaming if you believe USCw has a great stadium to play in

Finebaum is a musty ******* sack...the more he spews that **** the more the kids in the greater Miami area believe that horse ****. I wish that the coaching we had was smart enough to figure out how to beat that lame argument.

Right. So when we get a practice bubble, we should assume it will have climate control, right?
Right after its built - we'll hear about how we've given up our natural so fla advantage when we can't handle the heat in sept nooners.
Hiw many practice hours are lost each year due to not having this? THAT, I'd like to know.

I want to say - just fvck this facilities garbage. What they mean is = OUR STADIUM SUCKS.
until that gets fixed......you're going to hear that word - facilities.

i wish one of these talking heads would be more original and actually do a little thinking for themselves instead of parroting what everyone says. Just because it gets repeated a thousand times doesn't make it true.

All BS....

Look at Michigan and UF.

They went from loser head coaches to real head coaches.

That's the difference.

I bet all of those talking heads out there have not been to Miami's campus to actually see the facilities. I'm not saying Miami's facilities are ideal, but they make it sound as if we are is playing in a high school gymnasium. The facilities argument is BS. Pitt is in pretty much the same situation we are (lack of a home stadium, not adequate facilities, etc.) and yet under 1st year head coach Pat Narduzzi they are 6-1 and ranked. #23 in the nation. Same with Temple. FOH with that ESPN bs.

When it comes to facilities, it is hard to beat Texas or Oregon. What do Miami, Texas and Oregon currently have in Common?
