Talented sure but please, that team was a mess. Kaaya was great if you kept the pressure off him which we were very bad at doing. The D was much better than any year under al, but still had problems. It's understandable that we won 9 that year. Not great, but understandable.

As for the most talented team in the division no sht, that's true every year. Even if Richt were a play-calling wizard, we'd have lost 2 games this year because of our OL, ST, and QB. It's not enough to have the most talent, you've got to have that talent everywhere. And we don't.
We learned that a competent coordinator can come in and completely turn around a defensive unit that was statistically one of the worst in the nation. If Mork was ever worth a lick he would've pulled off what Manny pulled off and done the same with the offense. He didn't, and like it's been every year since he's been here, it was embarrassing at times. The warning signs were there from day 1.

I want to LOL, but I am slightly concerned that the lady there died.

Mullen is 10x the offensive mind Richt is.
And Manny Diaz is 10x the coach of his former DC...um...Manny Diaz. I'd love to see some guru come in to Miami and turn it all around but I just don't see it happening.

That's pretty much what Dan Mullen pulled off at Florida.

NO excuse to lose to UNC, VA Tech, or ND that season no matter how big of a mess that roster was.

This IS the bottom.

Things will start to turn from this point in time.

2018 has been a horrible year for UM football but hope is still alive. It comes in the fact that next years schedule is (and I want to be polite to the ACC opponents on it) very easy to say the least. Three schools are rebuilding with new coaching staffs and the others are losing a ton of experience from their teams. Our only loss might be to Florida but anythings possible with Franks being their QB. Couple that with a nice recruiting class so far for 2020 and the sky is not falling.

I know no one wants to hear this type of positive thinking right now but I think it's important to keep things in perspective.

Go Canes!!

Was hoping for the best when we hired him, but I'm not surprised. He made changes from Golden, but they were only subtle enough to make use slightly better.

Why am I not surprised? When Richt got fired, he mentioned he was happy to be retired. Then Miami had to basically throw the house at him (money, autonomous control, etc.) to get him to the sidelines.

Doesn't exactly sound like he had that fire or desire to coach. If you don't have that after you got canned and your alumni gives you the keys to the program, you shouldn't be at helm. Period.

Can't blame him. I would take that amount of money in a heartbeat and
Fück me...if Diaz leaves...oh my
Wouldn't you?
