We learned that a competent coordinator can come in and completely turn around a defensive unit that was statistically one of the worst in the nation. If Mork was ever worth a lick he would've pulled off what Manny pulled off and done the same with the offense. He didn't, and like it's been every year since he's been here, it was embarrassing at times. The warning signs were there from day 1.Talented sure but please, that team was a mess. Kaaya was great if you kept the pressure off him which we were very bad at doing. The D was much better than any year under al, but still had problems. It's understandable that we won 9 that year. Not great, but understandable.
As for the most talented team in the division no sht, that's true every year. Even if Richt were a play-calling wizard, we'd have lost 2 games this year because of our OL, ST, and QB. It's not enough to have the most talent, you've got to have that talent everywhere. And we don't.
Could’ve had Mullen too.
Mullen would have failed for the same reason as Richt. No $EC bagmen to build up his recruiting base.
And Manny Diaz is 10x the coach of his former DC...um...Manny Diaz. I'd love to see some guru come in to Miami and turn it all around but I just don't see it happening.Mullen is 10x the offensive mind Richt is.
Just wait till the 2019 season. This is NOT rock bottom.
That's pretty much what Dan Mullen pulled off at Florida. And Manny Diaz is 10x the coach of his former DC...um...Manny Diaz. I'd love to see some guru come in to Miami and turn it all around but I just don't see it happening.
she shoulda been wearing a helmet... hard not to laugh though lolI want to LOL, but I am slightly concerned that the lady there died.

Things will start to turn from this point in time.

I think we will be alright if he leaves as long as we continue to play an aggressive style of defense. I like Manny, but think he can be replaced. I would like to see how our D looks against a good offense. Look at the teams we played. No offense.Fück me...if Diaz leaves...oh my
Was hoping for the best when we hired him, but I'm not surprised. He made changes from Golden, but they were only subtle enough to make use slightly better.
Why am I not surprised? When Richt got fired, he mentioned he was happy to be retired. Then Miami had to basically throw the house at him (money, autonomous control, etc.) to get him to the sidelines.
Doesn't exactly sound like he had that fire or desire to coach. If you don't have that after you got canned and your alumni gives you the keys to the program, you shouldn't be at helm. Period.
Can't blame him. I would take that amount of money in a heartbeat and
Wouldn't you?Fück me...if Diaz leaves...oh my
