The Showdown at Kidd Brewer Stadium

This soooo reminds me of the Miami-Houston game back in the day. I know App State is a completely different style team, but they are getting all the hype going in. We will crush them, and their spirits.

I've been saying that all week brother!!! It has that feeling, and we will put an end to that real quick by knocking lamb out of the game early! Real talk!

Some of you need to stop fooling yourselves, ESPN picked up this game for one reason and one reason only...they want to see Miami get beaten by a lower quality program.
If they though Miami was easily winning they wouldn't have touched it especially considering it goes against fsu vs l'ville.

Sold out game, fans gearing up for a blackout, kick *** video board will be on display, the game ball will be delivered by sky divers... atmosphere should be electric. Impossible for our boys to overlook this game, right??

Right

They are excited for their game. Who cares. It's pretty easy to see why they are so pumped up about it. Good for them.

/I hope we annihilate them

My problem isn't them being excited about it, but rather the media acting like they will beat us. UT played the worst game possible, and App State played even worse the second half. UT did everything possible to give App State the game. Turnovers, penalties, IDIOTIC play calling, and they still won. Why? Because App State wasn't good enough to beat an average UT team on their absolute worst day.

It's a four point spread. I think that's way too low like everyone else on here, but is it really that crazy for media/App State people to call for a team that is only a four point dog to win?

It's the media, what do you expect? There's nothing exciting about writing that Miami will beat App State, it won't be close, App State has no chance, etc.

This narrative was a foregone conclusion when the game was scheduled. App State playing Tennessee close simply fueled the fire.

SMH ...

If they stuck us on ESPN3, some of y'all would gripe.

They give us an actual national game, and some of y'all still gripe.

The game has a national TV spot because App State did what they did with UT. Had UT stomped them, we'd probably be on ESPN3, again.

So, I'm glad people think there is a shot that App State can win. The more eyes we get on the game, the more people we can impress.

I know some of y'all still live in the 80's and think teams/fans are afraid of us ... But those days are LONG gone. Nobody is afraid of Miami. Do they think we might be better? Sure ... But they don't think we're Bama. ****, they don't even think we're Louisville!

This game gives us the stage to set the narrative for the remainder of the season.

I expect our guys to put on show! And the fact that App State is going to give us a great game atmosphere will only add to what we do.

So the media is doing us a favor then, because when we pound the living daylights out of them they will have to give us credit for destroying a "good" team. Still, watch UT stay ranked ahead of us when it happens.

It was decided this would be on ESPN or ESPN2 months ago

At least App has made the board fun this week. It's gonna be a snoozer on here after the "I told you so" beat down and a bye week.

This game kind of reminds me of the Kstate game few years back at Kstate. Same offense, same type of Stadium. Not saying App state is as good as Kstate that year, but we learn a lot about our defense that game, unfortunately. Should be a good game, but if App state can't stop the run, it's going to get out of hand, quick!

I think we win by 3-4 touchdowns, but, I almost feel they had a better chance being quiet and sneaking up on us quietly instead of all this bulletin board material.

So if we crush these clowns then the media will reassess their love affair with Tennessee, right? Right?

I feel like there are two narratives at play here. The one that assumes we're still a team that'll lose these type of games and the one that assumes Tennessee is some great team this year. The later exacerbates the former so these media idiots have to ride with the belief that this will either be a close game or we'll lose. I mean if a darling of the mighty SEC had trouble AT HOME with this team then Miami is in for a long day!

Strong point. The comfirmation bias is SEC beats all OOC foes easily and Miami lsst 10 15 years is beatable..and more so last 5...

Until proven wrong, who can blame them?

Here's to Canes going FULL ON Arky Darkhorse on App St...thats right...full Arky Darkhorse...

Counselors will need to be on standby in Boone to help pick up the pieces...

The Arky Darkhorse is unspeakable...and its.coming to.Boonetropolis...

Richt and staff are slowly turning the Miami narrative...

Go Canes. Unleash ****.
