No. There has been no AD that could handle the prosperity left behind by him. They have all flirted with the edge of the cliff. Blake is nutless, it seems he’s backed off once the Richt aura set in. He is completely awol. At least we saw and heard from him more often during AG’s tenure, but now, there is no captain on this ship.

Maybe Im naive, but with Sam J I believe there would have been much more of an attempt to save the Orange Bowl. I was actually stunned when he came out to Cal State Northridge to be their AD(as I live out here in So Cal)

He was a constant cheerleader and a hustler for the program, very high octane. I think (I may be wrong) he left to join the same FB league (USFL) Schnelly left to join, only to not pan out. That is whem he may have gone to CSN.

Well, Sam left in 1990 or 91 I believe, he helped cut the deal for Miami to go into the Big East and was replaced by Dave Maggard(ughhh) in like 91 or 92 IIRC
