Smith is starting OLB unless we find a portal option that’s better than him. Pruitt and Lightfoot are still situational until I see more from them.
 
Where does Bryce play next year? The nickel plays such a big role in this d and he will have another year in the weight room.

He was class of 2021, so had 5 to play 4 and this would be his 5th year. Hence the redshirted senior classification. I was pretty sure his medical situation would give him the option to request a medical waiver to play another year, since he was injured at least twice that I can remember and out for major sections of the previous seasons.

I can't find any confirmation of him requesting a medical redshirt. You might be right he's not returning. I think he would be granted that waiver if he requested it, though.

If he does return, he’s a starter. Near the end of the year Hetherman began to trust him.
 
DT play is up there. Going from fat Joe to Damien Lewis might have been the most underrated move of the offseason.
 
Hopefully Bryce puts on some good weight and strength this off season. He has a chance to be a real NFL talent if he can tackle well

CB Lucas, Brown, OJ, O'Connor Antoine, Ewald plus 4 freshmen
S Poyser, Fitz, Pruitt, Day, Crawford, Duggans

lots a lot of good players and not 1 will be a SR next year
hopefully one can play nickel or we bring in a difference maker in portal
