Immature and unqualified coach, immature players.
Wish u were right. You aren’t.
It’s real hard to beat a team if you aren’t gonna scheme for that specific defense. Richt hasn’t done that at all. He’s throwing the same sets plays personnel etc week after week. The D knows exactly what’s coming before the snap.
If you have an imperfect offense, like we do, then you’re gonna lose to teams with lesser talent... but better coaching.
I'm sure *** **** am not a grammatical scholar, but you both hit the nail on the head. I have to blame the HC because he's the one in charge of this mess. He's the one that is overseeing the program, and he's also the OC. He grossly under performed in each game, like he never bothered watching film of his opponents. If Miami wants to be a TOP tier team, again.... then changes NEED to be made. If NOT....well we will be here again next year with the same old tune.
Bottom line for me, Richt and son have had plenty of time to know who they have on the roster, recruit players to fill the gaps, and coach up the players to get the most out of them. There is zero reason/evidence based on their time here to believe that they aren't the root of the problem. Putting personal responsibility on the players for their own poor decision making and performance doesn't absolve the leaders who put them in that position.
Many saw this coming heading in to this season, which is why for many, this was a make or break season for Richt. It's why many are unwilling to give a pass any longer. If we could see it coming, why couldn't the guy who's been coaching for 30 years and is getting paid $4M per? More time, at this point, is beyond pointless, it's damaging to the long term prospects of the program,
@For_The_U I have no problem agreeing to disagree. I quoted you because I sensed we largely agreed, but also had some difference in perspective. I also quoted you because your comment was reasoned, as opposed to the original poster that you quoted. I'm, infuriatingly slowly, learning to avoid conversations with people who swear the sky is green and clearly can't or don't want to be reasoned with. Often times, observations, points, , etc are made more for those who read the boards in the process of forming their own opinions, but never comment, rather than for the benefit of the commentators. It is my opinion that we're at an inflection point. What happens next could very well determine whether or not this team can ever compete at the highest levels again, or at least during many of our lifetimes.
