The reason Georgia Tech beat us this year

It is really simple.

Paul Johnson fired Al Groh. Tech's defense improved. Tech beats Miami.

The last 2 years GT had ran roughshod on Miami, but Miami had also ran roughshod on GT, who had the same defensive scheme our idiot Coach runs. This year was different.
GT had a better (although not mind blowing by any means) schemed defense and it slowed us down enough for them to win.

I know our defense sucked and GT kept the ball 2:1 TOP to us, but the reality is they stopped us at times and created turnovers. We did not.

Georgia Tech's defense did not statistically improve in 2013 and it is no better this year. Who the flip runs a bubble screen on 3rd and 7 at the Tech 12-yard line in a 21-14 game? Miami had the ball for less than 20 minutes. On the next series, on 2nd and 6 he goes deep to Dorsett instead of being patient. On 3rd and 6 he goes empty backfield and they roll up blitz off the edge for a sack. Dumb.

The GT defense didn't slow us down. The OC calling double reverses and chucking the ball on 2nd down with a true freshman QB in a hostile road environment, yet with our running game averaging 7+ yds per carry, is what slowed us down. We could've had a GT-like run/pass ratio and at least been in a position to win at the end. GT couldn't do anything to stop Duke and Yearby. The defense or special teams probably would've found a way to ***** it up, but at least the offense would've done its part.

I was at a friend's wedding in Seattle for the game. Glad I didn't watch this abortion last Saturday nite.

It was not GT defense, it was year four of Doritos defense. UM ran only 44 offensive plays, one or two bad play calls should not cost you a game. An incompetent DC that does not adjust to down and distance and field position will destroy a team.

I was at a wedding in Vero. Watched on the phone for a while, then shut it off before it ruined the my night. FACK!

The reason they beat us is cause Penn State decided to hire a different coach last summer.
PSU wanted Golden but wanted no part of his BFF, even those inbreds understood that Doritos is garbage. Now Golden's coaching career is going up in flames and deservedly so.

When you get the ball 2 or 3 times in an entire half, ONE bad play call can cost you the game.

You're focusing on the symptom and not the disease.

The offense only got the ball 2 or 3 times because our defensive scheme is an abomination coordinated by well trained chimpanzees.

If we had 3 more possessions like a normal team, we win. I never got the infatuation with Groh and PJ hated his guts after ruining his team, but they are still laughably bad on defense. And we are that much worse.

And who's fault is that the offense only gets 3 Possesions. It is not fair to ask a true freshman QB to play a perfect game.

How difficult is it to hand the ball off to Duke and Yearby? What does the ****** defense have to do with converting 22% on third downs?
